Florida Vacation Rentals

When you plan your trip to Florida, you may be wondering, "How far in advance should I book my Florida vacation rentals?"

This is mainly dependent on the time of year you plan to visit us.

Easter and Christmas, the two busiest seasons of the year, are the busiest times of the year. Each season lasts around two weeks, and it is not uncommon for them to sell out more than a year in advance!

Fall is an excellent time to hit Central Florida!

The summer heat has passed, but the days are still warm, and the crowds have thinned out. The villas are less crowded as people begin to settle into the new school year cycle and start to plan for the Thanksgiving – Christmas season, and dates may often be booked in advance.

It does not concern what time of the year it is; some dates will invariably not be scheduled when they should be. That is not to say that Florida vacation homes are not popular. It simply occurs much later than usual! So, even if you are looking at the last minute, it is always good to check and see what is available.

Tips for Booking Vacation Rentals in Florida Safely

  1. Check the entity you are dealing with. Do they have a professional-looking website? Is there a genuine person to speak with - not only through email but also over the phone?
  2. NEVER wire money to anyone, especially someone in another country, unless you have double-checked everything and followed all of the instructions.
  3. Pick up the phone. Is there a real person on the other end of the line during regular business hours? Is there anyone who is willing to speak with you? Scammers prefer to communicate via email. Be cautious if they do not provide you with a phone number and do not answer or return your calls immediately during office hours.
  4. Tax evaders do not pay their due share. They never pay any taxes at all. In Florida, any rental that lasts less than six months is required by law to pay taxes.
  5. Is the vacation rental property listed on any other websites? Let us face it: the internet is a huge source. A professional understands that it is not enough to promote in just one location but in several to reach a big audience. Make sure the property is advertised widely, including on popular vacation rental websites.
