We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful historic, victorian in PG. We had a total of 12 people and were were all very comfortable, not on top of each other. The house is way more spacious than it looks. The house was well stocked with utensils, kitchen equipment, blankets, pillows, etc. We enjoyed the fire pit, the fire inside and the hot tub! The house is conveniently located within walking distance to downtown PG, Caledonia Park, and Lovers Point. We even walked to the aquarium and Cannery Row, which was perfect! We would definitely rent this house again. Mary & Family we very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. They even had flowers for us and a kind note upon arrival!
Nice quiet street. Lots of room for everyone and wonderful memories!
Our family was fortunate to find this very comfortable and roomy house to stay in over Christmas vacation. The kitchen was well equipped with whatever we needed. This made cooking quite easy for our large group. We enjoyed the flexibility to gather in different areas of the house and the ability to walk to the beach and to town. Our contact for questions on the house was very quick in responding. All in all this house is one of the best houses we have rented. We hope to stay again.
We love this beautiful home complete with garden, hot tub and room for our big family! Everything is comfortable and accommodating, clean and well appointed in away that feels like a family home rather than rental property. Excellent location in a charming neighborhood only a few blocks from restaurants and shops. Love everything about this home!
Truly a wonderful surprise. This home was very comfortable for a large group. Beds were all great. Room for everyone to be together and to have privacy. Back yard had beautiful, well cared for hot tub and fire pit. Also well equipped kitchen and in a great walkable location. Would definitely return.
Four of my buddies and myself travelled from New Zealand to the Porsche Rennsport VI festival at Laguna Seca, we stayed in this fabulous historic home at Pacific Grove, and in short we ate at the home 3 nights out of 4, because of the ambience and relaxing nature of this property, the gas fire pit was outstanding, we just sat around it and talked late into hours. The lads also enjoyed the spa pool. Thank you Mary, we very much enjoyed our stay and property. Tim James, Auckland, New Zealand.
I just returned from 3 nights in this lovely home. We had a family reunion for 10 adult, women cousins and it was wonderful! We fully enjoyed the backyard hot tub, deck, and firepit area. The kitchen was the hub of great conversations over coffee and we had some group meals with wine and storytelling over the dining room table and in the front living room. The bedrooms were perfect for the 10 of us! It felt like we were gathering at our own grandmother's home. It was delightful! I highly recommend this home for gatherings. The location is very central to all we wanted to see in Monterey, yet on a quiet, tucked away street. Thank you for a wonderful accommodation!
This home is all about the convenience of the location, and the size of the home. Our group has stayed here 4 years in a row to attend an annual event. The home is always in excellent condition. If you are visiting the Monterey area this is the perfect place to stay.
My friends and I stayed here during a three day wine tour of the Monterey area and the lodging portion was made easy for us. Mary has a great team working with her to keep the place spotless and Liane did an excellent job of meeting me to exchange keys and information. The house is in a quiet neighborhood that was close to Pacific Grove's downtown area, the aquarium, and the road to Carmel. Everything in the house worked and we wanted for nothing in the way of utensils, linens, towels, and all the necessaries. I hope we find a place like this every time we go on our annual wine trip.
We had a 3 generation reunion, with grandma down to an almost 2 year old. Terrific location - walking distance to the bike/walk path, coffee shops, book store, and a park. Easy drive to aquarium. We used the hot tub, fire pit, grill, and fireplace. We had dinners as a group in the formal dinning room. All great. Two suggestions I passed on to the owner: door handle in upstairs bedroom off common room needs replacing (fell off first day), and rooms could use black out shades or curtains. We ended up rigging up towels and sheets to hang from the curtain rods. Would recommend, would stay again.
