The first floor consists of a breezy front porch, the kitchen and a large living room that opens onto a bricked pool area. On this floor there is also a full bath and a tv den. The den converts to a third via a queensize Murphy bed that is stored behind louvered doors.
The second floor has two very spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own porch, shaded by palms, overlooking Ashe Street in front or the pool area off the rear bedroom. The floor plan offers superb privacy for the two master bedrooms. The first floor tv den provides a third bedroom perfect for children or extra guests.
The lighted, heated pool is well lit, inviting you to take an evening swim.
Tropical colors and accessories add to the authentic Key West experience.
Ashe Splashe was featured in the November/December 2008 issue of COTTAGE LIVING magazine under the title, "We Evoked the Best of Old Key West" and in the January 2013 issue of the British magazine HOMES & ANTIQUES under the title, "Winter Sun."
The house was meticulously restored in 2006 and, in 2007, awarded a coveted ceramic star, the highest preservation award by the Historic Florida Keys Foundation. The spacious rooms are built entirely of wood—even the ceilings—in the tradition of original Key West architecture. Antique flooring and details are paired with three new baths and a state-of-the-art kitchen with stainless appliances, offering you charm and comfort.

My family and I travel to Key West every other year for a month of relaxation and conky tonkin', and we have stayed in many different accomodations in Old Town; Ashe Splashe is by far our favorite! Ashe Splashe's rennovation is perfection. It has all of the history and character that you want when staying in Key West with the added bonus of a modern kitchen, air conditioning (a must in the summer!) and a private pool! We will definitely stay again when we head down to the Conch Republic next summer!
We've rented Ashe Splash twice and will again. It's very comfortable, with lots of Old Key West features but with a new kitchen and baths. The house was spotless, pool serviced once a week. Occasionally in between we would pick leaves off the water. The bedrooms upstairs each have their own bath and porch so you and your guests have privacy and quiet. The downstairs bedroom is smaller than the two upstairs but it is still larger than most bedrooms in Key West rentals. The house is just as described. The owners have thought of everything you might want: beach towels, books, hair dryers, etc. The location is good for Higgs Beach and the White St. Faustos grocery; bike rentals are nearby. You don't need a car. Our favorite restaurant, Seven Fish, is a 7 minute walk away. This is a quiet end of Old Town. If you want to have bars and clubs outside the front door this is not the house for you. If you like to relax in a peaceful setting you will not find a better spot. Great house.
We loved our month in Key West. It is a wonderful city for celebrations and for really kicking back and relaxing. The house was perfect for us. It has a Caribbean feel because the breezes blow through it front to back and there are porches off both the upstairs bedrooms. It is decorated with great colors and is very roomy. The pictures accurately reflect the house and it was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived.
Ashe Street house has larger rooms than our previous rentals, and a friendly feel. We liked everything about it . The upstairs bedrooms are luxurious. Downstairs tv room has a library and comfy sofa. (non-sleep sofa) The queen size Murphy bed worked well when we had extra visitors. (House is roomy, could really sleep 8 in a pinch) Backyard
