The house is just what we wanted for our vacation. The location is so very convenient to Sarasota, Venice, and beyond. The fact that there are some 80 golf courses within a short drive doesn't hurt, either. Working with Mr. Wirtz is a pleasure, and the extra amenities, like beach equipment, kayaks, and a number of bicycles really makes enjoying the home that much easier, as does the bay access/boat launch half a block away. We are already looking forward to returning!
The proximity to beaches, bike trails & town help to make our stay quite enjoyable
Had to rent a place for all the kids and grandchild to come for the holidays...the house was immaculate and any needs were met by the owners immediately! The use of the kayaks and bikes were great for short excursions for them and they still had plenty of time to be with us, too! Would definately rent this place again!
We are so happy we found this house for many reasons. It turns out to be a quiet, safe neighborhood and within a mile and a half of Nokomis beach. The house is neat and clean and has a big screened lanai on the front. We spent the most time enjoying meals and company around the large table out there. The homeowners were most responsive to any issues that came up and fixed whatever the problem was promptly! Well equipped kitchen as well as bathrooms and laundry room. The gas grill was used constantly and very much appreciated especially for grilling all the fresh fish we purchased!
This home is the best equipped rental you will ever see! The hosts are very generous and stock the place with anything you might need. The house itself is beautiful; large and roomy. Plenty of room to spread out. Right around the corner, you can launch the two kayaks provided for your use. You can watch the sunrise or sunsets from the water.... Several bikes are there for your enjoyment as well. We saw egrets and irises roaming the front yard, and two ospreys guarding their giant nests. If you need a larger stretch of beach, Nokomis beach is only 1.5 miles away. This house is in a perfect location for a fun vacation!!
Thanks to our hosts the Wirtz's or making our trip beyond enjoyable. I stayed at this beautiful Nokomis home for 10 days and felt right at home. We were greeted by our amazing hosts who made every effort to anticipate any need we may have from the kitchen items to the comfortable beds, it was such a pleasure coming "home" each night. There are 2 kayaks for the use of guest and the drop-in point is just a short walk from the front door. From the drop-in its an easy paddle to Nokomis beach to watch the sunset. The beach is also accessible by foot or for a quick evening run. I am a very seasoned traveller and have high expectations which I will say were very much exceeded by this home. If you are planning a stay in this area or if you are showing at Fox Lea Farms definitely try to make a reservation with the Wirtz's you will not be disappointed!!!!
