This property is especially friendly to families and couples that enjoy a 5K cross country ski or run through open space, two groomed parks, tennis and volleyball courts and a mountain view. All right across the street. A furnished deck, fenced back yard, canoe, picnic wagon and children's outdoor toys make for summer fun. Take a 15-mile bike ride on the Greenway or drive 44 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park and its 355 miles of hiking trails.
WIFI, antenna tv, dvds, table and electronic games, a wood burning fireplace and a fully supplied kitchen with extras make being inside nearly as much fun as being outside. Cooks will enjoy finding tools, appliances and even basic spices available for meal preparation, inside or outside on the charcoal grill. See VRBO #252109 for more details.
Just inside, the kitchen has all upgraded appliances including a double oven, cookware, eating and serving supplies you could need, including a coffee maker, microwave, Kitchen Aid blender and a Kitchen Aid mixer. Basic cooking supplies are available if you need a cup of flour, some salt or a pinch of spices.
From a viewing deck, accessible by sliding and french doors off the master and 2nd bedroom, enjoy a long view of Lake Macintosh, Long's Peak--great light and shadows in early mornings and dusk year round! Play tennis or practice your basketball shots (dribble the short walk to the half court). Put the kids in the big yellow utility wagon with a picnic, soccer ball, roller racers, fishing poles or kites to either of the two parks you pass on your run around the lake where they can play in well-maintained playgrounds and grassy areas--plenty of room for Frisbee tossing or kite flying.
Fishing (catch and release), volleyball courts in each of the two parks, tennis courts across the street and a half-court for basketball pick-up in one of the parks. Owner provides a canoe with nifty trailer, paddles and life jackets for adults and children can be pulled across the street for a fun hour or two on the water.
Enjoy evening visits or family game time in the family room. Antenna TV, video and board games are available. WIFI is available throughout. Or, if it is chilly outside, a wood fire in the fireplace will warm you up and the firewood is provided. Owner is on property to care for yards, snow and to promptly address your needs and concerns.
Longmont is a surprising community, with an excellent library, interesting downtown with lots of art and antique shops, a beautiful commemorative rose garden with dozens of varieties, bicycle, rollerblading or walking paths, including the St. Vrain and the Left Hand Greenways among others, recreation and athletic facilities including the YMCA and Longmont Recreation Center (both have indoor pools and water slides), lots of restaurants and fast food outlets.
Boulder's ''no growth'' city ordinances have pushed many retail markets to Longmont. In that 1/8 mile from the home, you will find Safeway, Blockbuster, Green Cleaners, Subway, Daylight Donuts, Restaurants and Pizza and in Longmont you will find major restaurants and shopping within short drives or bicycle rides.
Within 2 hours of many ski areas, including some of Colorado's smaller gems, such as El Dora. Estes Park and the infamous Stanley Hotel is just 45 minutes west at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Forest. See http://longmontcolorado.gov/departments/departments-n-z/parks-open-space-trails for information on parks, open space and trails.

Carolyna's house has everything you need for a fun vacation. The location is perfect and we enjoyed hiking, kayaking, biking, visiting Boulder and walking around the lake in the early mornings and evenings. Carolyna is a most gracious hostess and the house was clean and organized for all your needs. I would recommend staying at this house.
Six of us came to Longmont to celebrate my father's 90th birthday. This house had everything we needed to make it a week long party. Carolyna is a wonderful hostess. Thank you.
Nice place to stay. Owner is very sweet lady and she was very accomadating to our request Would have liked to be able to relax at night with some tv but no other complaints and would not hesitate to stay at this property again
Our stay was very comfortable in this lovely home. We enjoyed the park across the street and views of the mountains.
Right in Longmont, this is a most quiet place surrounded by pleasant things. across the street we watched people biking, walking, hanging out with their children. It is in the center of all the attractions of the area. Good access to Boulder + CU, Denver, Greeley + UNC, Fort Collins + CSU, Longmont with Outlet Mall, and, of course, close to Estes Park and the National Park and lots more of the Rocky Mountains.
The Harvard House had everything we needed. It was very neat and clean! The backyard was awesome with a spacious deck and grill. We loved the lake across the street which has a path all the way around it. There are bikes at the house to ride on the path which was a plus. The location is great with easy access to everything. I would recommend it for couples or families.
This property is not for softball families. Very extensive cleaning rules and if you do not follow compost rules you do not get the deposit back. We spent most of our time at the ballpark and what little time we had free we wanted to enjoy Colorado. In property description it does not state that owner lives onsite but that should be disclosed. The property was nice and we have rented a home every time we have gone to this softball tournament with no issues until this time. I read a few reviews before booking but did not read them all. Lesson learned. We left the home very clean, we had to park on the road, and had no stove for 3 days there but yet we aren't getting our deposit back.
Carolyna is a great hostess and she has thought of everything! Her home is warm and welcoming, and so is she. We would certainly stay again!
This was the worst experience we've had in VRBO-rented house. The owner lives in an apartment attached to the house. She has a connecting door from her apartment into the rented area. She never used it, but suppression of sound is a consideration for the tenants. She is extremely picky about the house and micro-manages it. She's a stickler for detail and places notes throughout the house on proper care of her property. She will come into the home to inspect when she thinks you are away. She leaves notes of non-compliance on the door. Although she sometimes accepts pets, she will not allow them to be left alone. This means that in the heat of summer, the owner must take the pet or pets along even to go to a restaurant. This is extremely inconvenient, and negates the advantage of renting home for a vacation. She blames tenants for everything that goes wrong. She has a problematic toilet in the laundry room. When it became clogged forcing the spillage up through the pipes into the shower, she blamed us for dropping items other than toilet paper. As an elderly couple we know better than that. She will sort through the garbage to ensure that you sort properly for compost, recycle, and trash. She works at various times in the garden bursting the elusion of privacy. This has been our worst experience renting a home. Strongly advise against renting here.
Home away from home, Carolyna has thought of everything to make you comfortable. The house is across from mcintosh park and lake and has beautiful view of mountains. We plan our visits to longmont around the availiblity of this home.. We love staying here.
