Marilyn was most helpful and accommodating and went out of her way to make our stay a pleasure. Her cottage is comfortable and well equiped. When we asked to have a late check out it was not a problem,so we were able to have a fabulous fishing trip.Highly recommend Marilyn's place for a great stay.
Fire pit set up. Home was very clean. Enjoyed the selection of books, music and dvd's. Well stocked kitchen. Very homey atmosphere. First morning 3 whales came by!
We had a wonderful stay in this house. It's very comfortable and cosy, ideal for a large family. The view is amazing since it is on the beach. Not to be missed!
A comfy place right on the ocean. Secluded and quiet the way we wanted. Great place to relax, enjoy nature and read a boo. Enjoyed the beach, watching eagles and whales from the back patio. The outdoor shower was great and a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed the fire pit at night. Good hike at the end road about a block away. Beach combing was fun. Enjoyed cycling on the island and a visit Rebecca Spit. Great meal on the patio at Heriot Bay Inn. Hope to come back again.
Gorgeous location, very well equipped home, we spent a lovely week ! The outdoor shower is the bombdiggity!
This is the perfect spot to get away from it all. We saw humpack whales crossing right in front of the house, kayaked in Hariot Bay, and hiked the Kay Dubois trail. The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy our anniversary Lynnette and Keith
Marilyn is extremely prompt and proactive in communicating. Her place is in an ideal location, gorgeous views, sunrises over the mountains, wildlife viewing from the beach, easy access to magnificent hiking trails. The house is well supplied with everything you'd need in the kitchen and otherwise. Highly enjoyable and relaxing stay!
We had such a great time at the beach house on Quadra! It is truly a beautiful escape from reality.
Amazing view and location, we loved sitting on the deck watching the ocean. House is very stocked, and had everything we needed. Great trip.
I am a Quadra tiny-home resident so my stay at Marilyn's was a sort of staycation for when I had a guest. As a local (but fwiw I don't know the host) I recommend this place entirely. Perfect location to enjoy Quadra's Eastern shore: whale-and wave-watching, beautiful coast mountain views in sunlight and rain, and the lovely Kay Dubois trail steps away. (Choose more protective harbours if you want direct access to swim, kayak or explore tidepools.) The main space is cozy (not sprawling-huge but a nicely proportioned old-school cabin) with abundant homey details, blankets and many useful kitchen tools and appliances: rice maker, waffle iron, oyster knives etc. We did not use the little beach-hut sized couple cottage; it looked sweet. Outdoor deck and driftwood beach seating were great too. Note for drivers: it's a steep driveway, best if you have four wheel drive, like so much of the island. From Marilyn's you'll access all local activities/amenities easily. Great!
