Vineyard 4BR Katama/Edgartown(Open 6/8 wknd & 8/24 w/Ferry tix)

We had a family reunion with children of all ages and this house was great thanks to its multitude of compartmentalized spaces. The bedroom count, extra TV room and rooftop deck allowed everyone in our group to find a place to sit and relax. We could gather in the main space or on the deck for family dinners and then as our little ones (5 & 6 yrs old) went off to bed, there were plenty of spaces for adults and teenagers to find some privacy to read a book, watch a movie, or chat under the stars on the roof deck. The widows walk roof deck is unique on this home and really became a favorite gathering space for the adults.

Fabulous house with plenty of room to spread out, very well equipped and maintained, wonderful location, terrific owners, and a totally fair price.

This is a great house the owners are constantly upgrading it , they added new hardwood floors upstairs , new dishwasher and stove, new couches and tables in living room. New ceiling fans in all the rooms . Lots of nice prints on the walls. Outside a new gas grill and charcoal grill. The is not you typical sterile Vineyard rental its more like your own beach house. The house is always clean and well maintained. We are longtime repeat guests , the owners are great to work with. The house is near South Beach and the biking paths , you can walk to the Rightfork diner on the airfield (kids love to watch the biplanes and gliders) I like to kayak , the island has lots of ponds and bays for it . In season there are lots of music events all over the island and you cannot forget the farm fair. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives without question. I almost forgot the rooftop widows walk ans great place to view the stars from.

This home was in a great location. It was a short ride to any location on the island. We really enjoyed the accommodations. It is a great home to entertain a large group. The house was also well equipped with many amenities that you usually don't find in rental homes. Would highly recommend this home.

The house is 5 minutes (by bike) from the beach, and 10 (by bike) from Edgartown and is perfect for family/friend gatherings. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. Happy hour spent on the crow's nest (upper deck) was the best!

This is a perfect home for a family vacation. It is very close to south beach and right off of the bike path. We spent a lot of time on the roof deck which has a great view. I would recommend taking a short ride to jump the jaws bridge. My family had a blast here and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone.

My family of six enjoyed our stay at this rental house. It is clean and very well maintained. Everything was just as stated in the listing. It is very well decorated and is very roomy. It is a short walk to the beach. The outside shower came in handy for one member of our group who was downed by a wave at the ocean and accumulated sand in her clothes. It is close enough to all the towns on the Vineyard. The owners have a notebook that is very helpful in finding places to shop for necessities. The owners answered all the questions we had prior to our visit. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

This house offers tons of space for the whole family to spread out, with five bedrooms, two beautiful decks and a nice-sized yard. There is a large dining table so the whole family can eat together if they choose, and several televisions if people don't agree on what to watch. The kitchen is well equipped and upon arrival everything was clean. The beach is just a short bike ride away via a bike path. Town is a little further. There is an adorable little greasy spoon/cafe at the airport, also just a short walk down the road.

We have rented this house for quite a few years and always enjoy coming back. The open living space is great for a family of 4-6. It features two great decks and is well maintained. It is everything you would want to experience a nice vacation. Mike and Brenda are a pleasure to deal with and make improve to every year. It's the little details that they pay attention to that separate it from other rentals.

We shared the house with another family and felt there was plenty of room for us all to be comfortable. It is well located, right off bike path, near Katama Airport and South Beach. We look forward to renting it again.

This house gives a nice appearance when you walk in. Four nice bedrooms with two full baths downstairs, and a laundry room. Upstairs is very airy and open. A den has a foldout couch, which was reported to be comfortable. It is close to Katama Airport, which has one of the best breakfast places around, and it is only .2 miles away. Loved the outdoor decks. Sunbathed one day and waved to the pilots as they fly overhead. The only problem is the "5th bedroom." It shows two twin beds. NOT! They are actually wood storage cabinets with a 3" foam cushion. We used this house as a girls' weekend. With six of us, we figured we would all get our own room. I drew the twin beds. The "bed" in the tiny closet of a room was not comfortable at all! I personally would not even put a kid on these worn out cushions. I ended up sleeping on the couch two nights, which was minimally more comfortable as a bed. So, location to the Airport, Edgartown -- great. House, very nice. If you are an adult, or care about your children, do not use the "kid's room." Neither of them were the size of a twin bed, and they were definitely NOT comfortable! I would recommend this house if you only needed four bedrooms and a den that you could convert to a bedroom if needed.

Was surprised but needing to take a dirt road but found a better route. The walk to south beach was perfect exercise. Home owner was very easy to work with. Much more relaxed than other home owners on the island I've dealt with. Hope to stay again another time.

My family visit the island for 23 yrs now this year we tried a new home owner to rent from. The pictures say a lot but after a week at Mike's place we are already planning for next year. The home was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.

Mike's home is the best rental we have had in over 20 years. There are multiple places for group activities or some quiet time with tv or a book. The roof top deck is a treat. Sunsets and sunbathing were terrific.

Great stay at Mike's house in Katama. Location is perfect. The house is well kept and spacious, and the rooftop deck is amazing anytime, especially on clear nights. The owner is very responsive and answers any question you might have. Also Mike provides a ton of information on the area to help with your stay. Would love to rent this house again.

The location and size of this home is wonderful but it needs a little TLC. The kitchen is old and every time you opened the dishwasher the front panel fell off. There are a lot of cabinets but they are full of so many unnecessary items. No ac adds to a very humid sticky feeling. The whole house needed a good scrubbing. The bathrooms had mold in the corner The outdoor space is also wonderful and my grandchildren had plenty of space to run around after we came home from the beach. The location is perfect and they all enjoyed riding their bikes to the beach and the adults also rode their bikes to Edgartown in the evening. With a little care this could be a perfect home but we all felt a little uncomfortable.

My friends and I were here for the MV Food and Wine Festival in October, and needed a home in Edgartown with plenty of bedrooms. Mike's house near South Beach was the perfect fit. The bedrooms are on the ground level, and the living space is upstairs, with lots of windows, so it was full of sunshine. It was a bit chilly to hang out on the roof deck, but we did anyway and enjoyed watching the sun set. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and every room was super clean and nicely decorated. Not a single complaint from any of us! The house is on a dirt road, at the end of which is the bike path to South Beach, approximately a mile. Edgartown proper is only a few minutes drive. This house is quite suitable for large families, or, as in our case, a group of friends. I texted Mike to inquire about the wifi code (he had it posted, but I missed it), and he replied within minutes. Excellent communication. Since the Food and Wine Festival is an annual event, we'd like to come back here and make it a tradition! Thank you, Mike!

Great house. Nice layout with living space upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. Plenty of space. Definitely would rent again. Owner is very nice, responsive and easy to work with.
