Beautiful Spanish Villa with Spa & 360 View on 1.6 Acre

We tried this property two ways during our one week stay -- two nights with another couple and five with our daughter, her husband and four little kids. It was perfect for both groups. We'd have to stay a month to try every amenity, seating area, fireplace, and amusement, but every AM the sunrise was a feast for the eyes as it bounced off the facing hills. We loved every minute of our stay with attentive and completely unobtrusive care from hosts, immaculate, gracious interior and great equipment for a home cooked dinner every night.

Wonderful property with beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains. The home is reminiscent of an Italian villa with wonderful design details, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, unlike many rental properties, and we enjoyed cooking dinners at the house. We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this very special property, and hope to return for a longer visit one day.

We loved our two days at this beautiful home. We were very comfortable in the house and in awe of the scenery outside! We hardly left the house and grounds. Highly recommended!

We took our dog with us for a weekend stay and will definitely come back when we visit SB again. The Master bedroom bed is a soft memory foam mattress. The other bedrooms have beds and lofts so you can fit more kids or whomever wants to climb the ladders. The view from the backyard is just amazing. Our dog roamed the property and met the chickens. She's a 19 month old puppy so that was definitely a new experience. Please note that there's no fence on the estate so if your pupper won't come back when called you may need to keep them leashed. There's a creek and play set and everything you'd want if you bring kids too. We didn't use the hot tub but Jill had it heated for us before we arrived which is a nice touch. Jill was very responsive to some questions we had while staying there. The kitchen is well stocked and you can definitely cook meals there. The master bath is very large with whirlpool tub and a shower. There's double sink and a private toilet. I'm not sure if it was an oversight but there was only bar soap and not shampoo/conditioner so bring your own or check with Jill ahead of time. We couldn't seem to find any. This is not a ding just an observation. In the end I wish we could have stayed for the week and really took advantage of everything the house has to offer. It's sanctuary to be sure :)

The setting and grounds of this house are fabulous. My grandson was so enchanted it was hard to pry him away to go to some of Santa Barbara's attractions. The home has wonderful rustic charm, and it is warm and comfortable with it's unmistakable signs that a family grew up here. The only negative comment I have is that the toilet in the second bathroom did not flush well. We used the powder room instead.

We had an unforgettable weekend at this Santa Barbara hills home while visiting with my parents and my children for a wedding. This is a space that a family has cared for and appointed with love for many years, and you can feel it. The warm indoor/outdoor home is full of magical spaces, all created with thought and care. And the views! We didn't want to leave and would return in a heartbeat.

My first and loudest complaint is about the owner NOT allowing my daughter & her boyfriend to visit us for a few hours ("you'll need to pay extra") AND my other daughter was charged FULL rates for her one year old and three year old children ("wear and tear is caused"). The master bedroom was nice but the toilet was unbolted and lifted off the floor. The other two bedrooms had very hard beds ("I've slept on softer concrete" was reported). The kitchen was nice but we couldn't find pepper to use for our food. One last thing ... the owner stated checkout was at 10am ... as did the home manual ... but the VRBO website lists checkout as 11am. I asked for the 11am checkout and this was honored. Otherwise, the outdoor areas were very nice and the views were outstanding. I believe a modification to fees should be made for children. Especially very, very young children. Before renting, ask about fees and "wear and tear" issues.

We loved our recent stay at this beautiful Santa Barbara home. The VIEWS blew us away! We took our two children (2 year old and 2 month old) and this home had everything we needed and more! Jill even offered for our daughter to play with her daughter’s American Girl dolls, which she loved. The home is the perfect size and very comfortable. The master bed was ridiculously cozy. My daughter loved visiting the chickens and gathering eggs! My 2 month old son slept for his first 9 hours straight, so he was definitely feeling at home too. The jacuzzi - in the evening looking out at the stars was pure magic. We love Santa Barbara and can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful view, great owner, perfect location to be away from the city but easily get to downtown. Definitely plan on staying again!
