We had a great visit to Avon, again. This condo was just as advertised. The unit was nicely stocked with everything that was needed. Very nice and comfortable. As others have stated, the living room would be a little tight for 4 or 6. But the location is perfect and most wouldn't be spending time sitting around the condo - they would be out enjoying the beautiful location and mountains. Only (minor) complaint is that the king-bed was too soft for our liking. The queen beds in the 2nd bedroom were much better (firmer).
We enjoyed our stay at this Chapel Square condo with suited the needs of our family of 5 well. The unit is well situated with bus stop for skiers across the parking lot and the City Market grocery store right across the street. If you care to eat in, the unit's kitchen is well stocked for cooking or there are a variety of nice restaurants within walking distance. During the afternoons/evenings, the condo became a little warm but the temp can be regulated using the main room's air conditioner. Parking in the garage was not possible since we had a Thule roof rack on top of our car but leaving the car in the retail lot out from was not a problem. Since we skied all day, the retail below the unit was not an issue. Nice unit.
Overall, we enjoyed this condo very much! Super convenient location, great view of the ski mountain, and very comfortable beds. There is a strange noise that happens periodically that sounds mechanically, and the garage truck is very loud when it comes by a few times a week around 8am, but those were our only issues. I would highly recommend this condo!
This place could be much nicer if little details were done better. For example, pictures were hung with the hangers showing at the top; blinds on the door with a do it yourself cut out for the door handle, things like that. It was as if someone who wasn't handy had taken care of all the details. The refrigerator door opened the WRONG WAY!! It was a little bitty narrow kitchen, and having the refrigerator door open the wrong way was a problem! The furniture was nice. Living space was postage stamp sized, but nice. There were no toiletries except soap in the bathrooms. Most VRBOs that we have stayed in had small bottles of shampoo, etc. And the wash cloths in the bathroom.... they couldn't have been any thinner. They were the kind I buy at Walmart ten for $3.00, and use for cleaning cloths.Great location, great workout area, quiet. Kitchen was well appointed. But there were too many little things wrong that added up for us. There is no way that any car but a compact size could get into the underground parking space. We wouldn't stay there again. HOWEVER, if you are just looking for a place to crash after a day of skiing, it would work. If they get decent wash cloths :-)
This is a wonderful place to stay in Avon. It is on the second floor above retail and restaurants, including (as of March 2018), a Mexican, Sushi, and Pizza restaurant, along with a cute toy store and some other stores that we did not visit. The grocery store is within an easy walking distance. There is a heated garage on the first floor (underground) that provides easy access to the retail and the units. As others have commented, the parking space allotted to the unit is for compact cars and is pretty tight. When the weather wasn't bad or we needed to just run in and out, we used the retail parking lot. The unit itself was plenty big for our family. Others have commented that there is not a dining table, but the owners provide tray tables, which worked fine for us for the meals we prepared there. The bedrooms are spacious and we thought the beds were very comfortable. For skiing, there is a bus that picks up skiers about twenty yards from the elevator that connects the residential units to the retail area and it runs from 9am-5pm. Since we often needed to be there before or after those times, we ended up driving and parking in the Beaver Creek garage, which was pretty pricey. We missed not having a hot tub (although the master bath does have a jetted tub), but I did use the workout area down the hall. Being able to go downstairs (or down the elevator) to pick up or go to dinner was a nice convenience. I would recommend this unit if you do not feel like you must be directly on the mountain. I should also mention that the owners were very accommodating and helpful.
We spent several days, primarily to attend a friend's wedding. The unit provided a nice home away from home. Conveniently located with dining downstairs, grocery store across the street, and with other choices within walking distance. Also nice indoor parking. Helped make our stay very pleasant.
Very nice condo, well appointed with everything that is needed for a nice vacation stay. The location is great, grocery and liquor stores within 2 minutes and a couple good restaurants within the complex [Japanese & Mexican food] A couple of things to note: the living area is small, only has a love seat and chair and there is no dining table, but that was not missed by us. And beware if you intend to rent this condo, there is AC only in the main living area, not the bedrooms. We were there in a relatively hot August week and the bedrooms were very warm. There are fans in the closet and that helped. Overall, a very nice condo at a fair price in a beautiful area of Colorado!
Great condo. Clean, all the amenities necessary. Only one suggestion. A dresser in the second bedroom would have been nice for our folded clothes. The small dresser wasn’t adequate. Otherwise it’s a great place.
Unit was nice and clean. Very close to Beaver Creek Ski Area. Great restaurants within the plaza area. Vail Ski area only 12 min away. My only suggestion to the owner is I would replace the small flat screen TVs in the bedrooms with 50” TVs. A great feature at this unit was the underground parking garage is heated. In addition the unit had plenty of hot water which may not seem like a big deal but IMO nothing worse than taking a cold shower after a day on the slopes and other units I have stayed in have run out. The kitchen seem to be stocked well. There is a grocery store extremely close which is really convenient.
Very well located for accessing bus routes and walking to dinner, or shopping in Avon. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. I would stay there again.
