This great downstairs apartment exceeded our expectations during our recent stay. The unit is clean and quiet with modern furnishings. Great shower. Very comfortable master bed. Walking distance to supermarket, bus lines. Long but doable walk to Rose Bowl. The owner is responsive and helpful! A fresh bowl of fruit was waiting upon our arrival. Partially stocked with staples like coffee creamer and sugar that you might not want to buy for your trip. If we are back we would definitely stay here again. A+!
This property was very well finished from the flooring, the tv, linens, towels & furniture was extremely comfortable. There was fresh flowers & a hand written note greeting us as we arrived very late at night due to flight delays. No worries there was coffee, fruit & few items for the morning. Vons grocery store was within walking distance also & was an upscale grocery store. The proximity to the rose bowl for the game was great & I went for a run from the apartment to the rose bowl. I would highly recommend this apartment if you want to be located in an upscale quiet neighborhood & avoid the long commute to the rose bowl from LA.
I was in Pasadena for a business trip March 5. When I arrived there was a fresh bowl of fruit along with some snacks and packets of Oatmeal for breakfast. The apartment was very clean, neat, and organized! Von's, Cvs, and Trader Joes are close by along with various restaurants in town. The tv is equipped with premium channels. There's a private entrance, fenced in patio, and washer/dryer for my use. I was about 15 minutes from my Downtown meetings. I would definitely stay here again as it had all of the conveniences of my own apartment.
We stayed here a week while visiting family in the Pasadena area. It was a comfortable place to stay and more convenient than being in a hotel. The bed was comfortable and the 50+ inch television set was fantastic (it had Direct TV). There was a Von's store, CVS Pharmacy and a McDonald's just a few blocks away. Although the I-134 freeway is nearby, we were able to take Colorado Blvd. to get to Pasadena and miss the traffic jams. The apartment is the lower level of the owner's house, but there is a separate entrance and an enclosed private area. There is also free use of the washer, dryer and grill on the patio. We loved the kitchen area which contained a gas stove, dishwasher and refrigerator so was able to cook meals. Dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans and food extras were provided. There was a hidabed in the living room, but didn't need to use it. They have a driveway where you could park your car off the street, but you can also park along the side of the road in this less traveled residential street. The owners were gone for the weekend so we had some privacy. When they were there, you could hear the patter of kids feet above you, but it wasn't bad. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. If we had a question, they got back to us immediately. This was our first experience renting an apartment in a home and it was extremely pleasant. In fact, I would stay here again when in the Pasadena area. Thanks Dyane and Lori for an enjoyable visit.
I very much enjoyed my 5-night stay. The apartment is located in a peaceful, lovely neighborhood surrounded by huge trees. It was spotlessly clean, charming and comfortable. The finishes and furnishings selected were tasteful, and I loved the cute little kitchen that was fully equipped and functional. There's gold fuzzy-backed blanket in the closet; I wrapped myself in it on the couch while watching the large screened t.v. with all the premium channels I'm used to. It felt like I was in a luxurious hideaway providing the privacy I like, but also close to freeway access, restaurants, museums (everything L.A.)and shopping. There are 2 good-sized closets, one of which would be perfect for several bikes. I took my grandchildren to the zoo which was 10 minutes away, the Burbank airport is 20, and it's only 10 minutes (20 with traffic) to downtown L.A. A big bonus was having access to my own private washer and dryer and I went home with a suitcase full of clean clothes. The last time I stayed in Pasadena I paid much more for a hotel room, and it didn't compare to the location, quality, privacy and dedicated driveway parking just steps away from the apartment. This is a jewel of a find for me, and I have plans to return in May.
I choose this Pasadena property because of it's lovely neighborhood location (close to family.) added bonuses included; my two small dogs were welcome, the unit was beautifully appointed, the wood floors were sparkling clean, the bedding was fresh and inviting, the bed was cosy and comfortable, the kitchenette was clean and stocked with some of the basics, there was original art hung on the walls, and the private patio area was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the serenity.
This cozy little apartment is just as advertised - cleverly and nicely appointed. It's just right for two, but can accommodate a guest. The bed is comfortable, the galley kitchen has everything needed for light cooking, and the private brick patio is a nice spot for breakfast. We'll be back if the occasion arises.
I rented this for myself and my two teenage daughters. The apartment is clean and was exactly how advertised. It's very close to a grocery store so we were able to do a lot of our own cooking. It was just a quick drive down the freeway to the Staples Center and LA Convention Center.
We had the best place...the owners are amazing and their two daughters were perfect for my son to play with. I asked for some extra things and they went out and bought them for us. Besides them being so attentive everything was clean, sheets are super comfy along with the bed. Also a big positive I felt safe and cared for like part of their family. Another strong point is the amount of traffic is less in this area as we were traveling almost everyday all around LA and orange co.
We often visit our son in Highland Park; we stay at chain motels in Eagle Rock but tried this VRBO and were most pleased with the privacy, amenities, nice quiet neighborhood for a comparable price to our "usual." We used the kitchen for bagels and coffee and took our morning walks in the area. We were 5 minutes from our family. Owners were most gracious. We would definitely stay here again with the only drawback being that the minimum stay of 3 nights will not always work with our schedule. Otherwise, wholeheartedly recommend this charming home away from home.
