My family of two adults and four children stayed at the cottage for a weekend in June. The location is delightful - 30 seconds from a beautiful, clean private beach with great sand. The cottage is perfect for four people, and six fit in by using the pull out couch downstairs. The house is tastefully decorated and very cute. We walked up the beach for five minutes and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Popponesset Inn. Would highly recommend this cottage.
Our family of 4 (including 2 children, 7 and 9) thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away. The house is just as described--and less than a five minute walk to the beach (but be aware there's a long flight of stairs to get down to the beach). Perhaps it we because it was still early in the season, but the beach was relatively uncrowded during our stay, with lots of families enjoying games as well as quiet time on the sands. The house is clearly well cared for--new furniture and plenty of space for us to spread out. The weber grill was a great touch--we made a point of coming back to the house for lunch and grilling lunch (but going out to dinner). Everyone enjoyed having balconies off of both bedrooms--a great way to wake up with a cup of coffee. There is both a Keurig coffee pot and an drip pot available, and the house is very adequately stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, pots / pans and cooking utensils. We were there to enjoy some down time, so never turned on the TV nor did we make much use of the wi-fi (though it was helpful to find restaurant ideas for dinner). My kids enjoyed the beach pails that were there and the boogie board. One thing to note is that the adjoining house next to us was a louder family, and we could hear them through the walls at times, but only during midday, so it really didn't bother us at all (and with 2 young children ourselves, at least I know that the neighbors are used to hearing kids!). Also, be aware that the access to the house requires going down a few steps and walking along a path, so unloading / loading the car take a little longer (and finding the right door in the dark on arrival was slightly challenging). All in all a great trip and we hope to be able to return next year.
Very happy with the rental. Nice furnishings and exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute townhouse in New Seabury while staying in Cape Cod for 4 days in September. We loved sitting out on the patio in the evenings to eat dinner--so beautiful. The townhouse has everything you need and it is in a lovely part of Cape Cod. Hope to come back some day!
My wife and I stayed her over a long Labor Day weekend. We could not have been more satisfied and impressed by the property and the New Seabury community. Maushop Village, the part of New Seabury in which this rental is located, is a nice, quaint community of beach cottages. The layout of the community and the walkways reminded us of a European village. We enjoyed sitting on the patio looking at the ocean and just sitting in the living room with the doors open and the ocean breezes blowing through the living room. I'm a runner and like to run, even while I'm on vacation, and the New Seabury community had some great trails that winded through the woods and along some of the roadways. I highly recommend the trails for walkers or runners. We also enjoyed the New Seabury market place that was within walking distance. Great little area of shops and restaurants for a quick bite - also very kid friendly - they had live music during the Labor Day weekend at night and it was filled with families and lots of young kids dancing to the music. If you're looking for a nicer restaurant, the Popponesset Inn was great and we also got a some really good meals in Mashpee. The Mashpee Commons was a really nice area of shops and restaurants that we enjoyed several times while staying here. I really don't think wife and myself could have asked for a better place to stay during our long Labor Day weekend. It was our first trip to Cape Code and a very memorable one. We have already discussed how nice it would be to go back!
My sisters and I had a wonderful time at this beach cottage!! The location was perfect. Very comfortable beds. We could see the ocean from the front patio. Close to shops and grocery stores. Looking forward to returning.
