About the Property
Our beautiful guesthouse has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and its own private fenced and landscaped yard complete with patio furniture, a relaxing hammock and fountain. The luxurious main bedroom with a king bed, has French doors opening to the back yard and a full bath attached with a clawfoot tub and stall shower. The 2nd bedroom has a daybed and pop-up trundle bed, (2 single beds which can be joined to make a king if preferred). There is a double sleeper sofa in the living room for extra guests. We also have single rollaway beds and a pack & play crib if needed. Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen and eat either on the patio or the dining table for 6 in the living room which also has a gas fireplace for those cool evenings. A 2nd full bath is accessed off the living room. Although located on a quiet residential street access to freeways and Metro-rail is only a few blocks away. Close to supermarkets, coffee houses, lots of great restaurants & local night life venues. Our central location provides convenient access to major studios, Universal City entertainment complex (featuring Universal Studios & City Walk, Universal Amphitheater concert venue, multi-theater complex, shops & restaurants), NOHO Arts district and metro-rail station to Hollywood, (walk-of-fame, Graumann's Chinese Theater & Kodak Theater, home of the 'Oscars') and to downtown, Disney Concert Hall, (Frank Gehry's architectural masterpiece), charming Olvera St, Chinatown etc. Hollywood Bowl, Ford Theater, Griffith Park hiking and riding trails, LA Zoo and Griffith Observatory are also just minutes away. 15 minutes drive will bring you to trendy Melrose Blvd shopping, and a few minutes more to the middle of upscale Beverly Hills. LACMA and Getty museums are also within easy reach. 25 minutes to the beach at Santa Monica & Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach boardwalk and another 15 minutes further up the coast to Malibu. Disneyland is south of downtown LA, about 40 mins drive. NOTE: If you do not need both bedrooms, the guest house can also be rented with just the main bedroom and 2 baths at a reduced rate. |

Additional Guest Fee $20 $165-$185/night, $1100-$1250/week, (double occupancy), additional guests $20/night each. No charge for children 2 and under, pack-n-play crib available. Property can be rented with just main bedroom for $170/night, $1125/week and both bedrooms for $185/night, $1250/week. Cleaning fee: $110-120, (double occupancy), additional guests $5 each Additional cleaning fee of $50 for stays of a month or more. Lodging taxes: 14%. (No Taxes due on stays of 31 nights or more) Rates higher on holidays. Please ask. Very comfortable house with everything you need there, nice and quiet location, helpful and fast responses from people who manage the house.
This house is well-located: close to both freeways AND the metro, which can take you to Hollywood or downtown fast even during peak LA traffic, plus easy or easy-ish (i.e. 15-20 minutes) walking distance to coffee, groceries, and booze. It was very clean and came equipped with everything from lint rollers and an iron to beach towels. The indoor and outdoor living spaces are capacious and comfortable--we especially loved the hammock!-so they are great for relaxed family hang-outs. The only criticism we had was that one of the two bedrooms had a skylight without any shade to cover it, which means that some of us were waking up with the sun.
Lovely accommodations! Very close to attractions and areas of interest. Prompt response to a small issue. Would definitely stay here again!
The property was absolutely lovely and well stocked. We also enjoyed the outdoor areas and the perfect location. We highly recommend this garden guest house for a Southern California retreat! Many thanks to Helen and Diana for all their prompt responses to our inquiries and requests.

We really enjoyed our vacation in this guest house. The instructions and information that Helen sent us prior to our arrival were extremely valuable, from where to grocery shop to restaurants, local attractions, and even a local dentist should you need that type of help. The best feature was the location. Only 2 miles from Studio City, about 5 miles from Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, and about the same to Universal. Didn't even need to get on the freeways in some cases, which is a blessing. We did have an issue with the furnace and a small roof leak (probably because we got more rain in one day than they usually get in a month or more), but Helen had both issues fixed within a few hours.Don't let that concern you. I'm sure this was an isolated incident. We would definitely stay in this house again. Thanks, Helen!
Very clean and great location in the Los Angeles area. The house had everything we needed. The garden area was beautiful and a nice area to visit with family.
Nice quiet space to just relax, especially if recovering from a medical procedure. Fully equipped 2 bedroom with everything needed in the kitchen. All is there if you wanted to do full on extensive cooking. Only minor drawback was this property is on flight path of I assume the Burbank airport.
We rent vacation homes a lot and usually are very satisfied considering the amount of preplanning I do. This one was truly exceptional. Not only was it very clean, well decorated and comfortable, the owner had equipped it with every nicety a traveler might need and left at home! We were amazed. We used the location as a hub to take our daily adventures in many different directions. It was a perfect place to return to, away from the L.A. crowds and near some great restaurants. We would enjoy returning if we were traveling in the area again.
