House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4) Remodeled while keeping the old style beach cottage nostalgia; this quaint cottage is one of the original properties on Wrightsville Beach (1927). This property features an open feel to enjoy the ocean or canal breezes from windows surrounding the house. Parking is abundant under the house with a wide railed front porch overlooking both the ocean and the canal within 200 yards of getting sand in between your toes. We spend countless hour’s people watching and enjoying the close proximity to all that Wrightsville has to offer. Totally remodeled house features modest yet more than adequate amenities with heart-pine floors, two large bedrooms privately situated, with bathrooms that offer plenty of room to move around. The open den/dining/bar and kitchen areas offers you and your guests plenty of socializing within eyes and ears reach in case you leave your drink behind. We leave the original Hatteras Hammock and our Brazilian Cherry Rocker's on the deck all season so you can enjoy the reason we raised this house up by 10 feet. If you like an outdoor shower then you will love our private get away with hot and cold so can you wash away the rejuvenating salt water after a long day soaking up the sun on the beach within 200 yards of the elevated porch. If you need groceries, want to eat a great seafood meal, or want to rent a bike, surfboard, sailboat or sea-kayak then just pack a small daypack and you're a six minutes walk from the center of Wrightsville Beach. Of course if you need a new outfit or bathing suit you can duck into Sweet Water Surf Shop and find the perfect fit for beauty or beast. Just tell 'em you have a 'Local's Card' (15% discount!) but left it at OLE #3. Perhaps you would like to fish off of the famous Johnnie Mercer's Pier; then just walk four minutes and you're on North Carolina's longest 'ocean front dock'. If you want beautiful blues skies and emerald water to match, with the best darn view and location on the beach then come relax at 3 West Fayetteville Street! |

Cute and comfortable! Loved the porch. The house was very clean and the cookware, sheets, towels, etc., are much nicer than in any other rental property I have stayed in. Everything on the island is an easy walk. Beach and canal are beautiful. I am ready to go back!
After deciding to take a family vacation with our adult children, we made our destination my favorite beach, Wrightville Beach, NC. We reserved the residence, sight unseen, only through pictures on the internet, and were pleasantly surprises when we arrived. The home was very inviting, comfortable, and relaxing. The owners were very easy to work with. Every email was answered very quickly along with all of my questions. I am hoping to be able to make this an annual vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach cottage. The furnishings were very nice and everything was clean. It was a very short distance from the beach but comfortably quiet in the evenings. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the front porch in the evenings and being able to walk to the restaurants and shops during the day. All of our questions were answered promptly by the Gees and they were very accommodating.
The house was just as described online. The beach was an easy 2 minute walk from the house. We loved the hammock on the front porch. All amenities were just as presented online. Our family had a great stay! We did not want to come home and so enjoyed this cozy beach house.
We had a great time at this beautiful beach cottage. Everything was exactly as described. Owners were easy to work with. We have stayed at other places in Wrightsville Beach and this was really the most enjoyable. We would definitely rent this cottage again. All in all a great vacation place. My husband and I made the trip to watch our UNCW student/daughter run the Wrightsville Beach Marathon. And, not only was this the perfect location as she ran right by the cottage twice, but the cottage was adorable (very tastefully decorated), loved the large front porch with the rockers, short walk to beach and restaurants and owners were very nice to work with. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone and I hope to go back soon myself
We had a great time. The house is very nice. Everything was just like the owners said. The porch is great for people watching as there is a steady stream of joggers,walkers going up and down Lumina. It's and easy walk to the beach and to Jonny Mercer's pier.
one of the few smallers houses in the area available for rent. just as pictured, loved the location and all the extras included at the house. Situated on a dead end street, very peaceful and quiet neighborhood area. Full kitchen, nice towels and bed linens, made our stay even more enjoyable. should I return to the area I would definitely stay at this location again! many thanks to the owners for this gem!
We are a family of 4 with 2 young children and the place was perfect for us. Access to the beach is literally 7-8 houses away and the sound is 5 houses away. Everything on Wrightsville Beach is a short walk or jog away. We had perfect weather to boot! Things about the house that we enjoyed: clean, safe, quiet, accessible location, the porch, outdoor shower, well equipped kitchen, 2 full baths, comfortable beds, on site laundry, keyless entry, etc. Only thing I would consider needs improvement is some additional cable channels would be nice for times you want to sit on the couch and watch TV.
We had such a wond wonderful time at this rental. 4 adults (2 preggo and 2 there for the beach to battleship triathalon). Probably the first visitors to not consume alcohol here! Great location-easy walk to the beach, clean, cozy/relaxing property. We would love to rent again in the future.
We enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The beach cottage was bright, clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. We were two couples attending a wedding and decided to make it a vacation. The layout of the house offered each couple privacy and a great room perfect for dining and relaxing together. The front porch was perfect to sit, rock in a chair, enjoy a refreshment and take in the scenery. The location is within easy walking distance to the beach and the sound. Would stay here again.
