When looking to renting here, any odd number room is facing the parking lot or away from the pool/ocean view.
There is a one time resort fee of $100. and a $100. check out cleaning fee. If you book seven days or more, it is suggested to have a mid-week cleaning, which is $75. They will do a full cleaning and restock your room. They stock the room with two rolls of toilet paper. If you are there for less than seven days and think you might need more, I recommend picking up a four pack at Walmart. These fees will be charged with your final payment. The resort has a $25. daily parking fee for self park or valet that you will pay upon checking out. If you want towels and trash changed, it is $15. per request. We have lowered our nightly rate to off set some of the fees. Guests of owners, like us, who aren’t in the rental pool, are excluded for any craft activities and free mai tai’s on Tuesday during the hula show. Please include your phone number on all reservations.

We have been to Kauai several times, this was our first stay at this property. It has everything you could ask for in a resort, comfortable room, great views of the ocean and lush grounds. There was plenty of good food and entertainment . Close to shopping, golfing, eating, and the airport. Wheather you are playing in the awesome pools, having cocktails in the bar, walking the beach or strolling around the property there is something for everyone. The check in process was quick convenient and all employees were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, we could enjoy nightly entertainment from our balcony. We arrived in our room to find information on everything you would want to do while vacationing in Kauai. I would highly recommend this resort and Kauai to everyone looking for a great Island experience.
I stayed 2 nights and wanted to stay more. I cannot say enough good things about both the Room and the Property. The booking and check in was very easy.... My room was only 3 units from the Ocean, very clean and modern! You can be as quiet as you like or as social as you like. I had lunch 3 times down at the Pool Bar/Restaurant. I also enjoyed the beach several times, going from pool to ocean... While on Kauai I did the NaPali Coast 2 times! and did a Helicopter Flight and the Smith Luau which picks you up at the Resort here. I cannot wait to come back!!! This is my new getaway for sure. Thanks Donna.
Donna was a dream to book through. She was so nice from the start. The place was perfect and CLEAN. We had family staying at a different resort and this place that we reserved actually turned out to be just a few steps down the beach. Our view was amazing. Ocean view. I had coffee there almost every morning or on the beach. This is the place I'd stay again for any Kauai visits. Excellent!
My wife and I had an amazing time on Kauai and at this great resort. This particular Kauai Beach Resort unit has to be one of the top 5 units in the entire resort. You can't beat the top level unit overlooking the beautiful sand bottom pool and the ocean. RESORT: The resort landscaping and location is beautiful. This used to be a Hilton resort. The pools and spas are amazing with waterfalls and flowers everywhere. There is a fun slide and great pool-side food and drink service. The food was great and the staff very friendly. Although we didn't get around to any activities, there were a lot of fun things to do. LOCATION: If you want to see the entire island, there is no better central location than the Kauai Beach Resort. You're just 7 minutes from the amenities of Lihue, 10 minutes from amazing top-Yelp-rated restaurants in Kapa'a, and 55 minutes to the end of the road in the north (Ke'e Beach) and in the south west (Polihale Beach). There isn't good ocean swimming immediately next to the resort, but the resort is on one of the most vacant stretches of beach on the island, and just a short walk up the beach (north) takes you to a few great spots to swim and play. My wife and I played in some great waves by the driving range net (1 mile). There are no lifeguards on this secluded strip of beach, so be smart and know the ocean conditions. OWNERS: The owners are very kind, responsive and accommodating. We communicated on the phone and via email smoothly. UNIT: The unit was very clean and comfortable. We loved the updated bathroom with the granite and travertine. The rest of the room great but could use some updating. We were told that the rest of the room will undergo more updates soon. Just having a full tile or travertine floor would be awesome. Being so close to the ocean, the humidity that comes into the room from the private lanai was incredible. It's understandable that wallpaper would curl at the seams in a few places as a previous reviewer noticed. But for the clean room, beautiful view/location, amazing resort, and price, this is a top tier rental that I would recommend to anyone.
Had such a great stay here! The owners respond quickly and are very kind and courteous. You can hear the ocean at night and it has a great view of the ocean and 2 pools. I highly recommend it!!
Stu was great to work with! He is just like me...... He answers his phone & is very easy going! I own the unit next door & we just had our wedding in Kauai. We rented multiple units & Stu's was one of them. I found out we are both from Woodland Hills. Anyways, his place is very nice & it motivated me to upgrade, paint, etc. my unit next door. Thanks Stu for the hospitality. I strongly recommend renting from Stu! Regards,
We had no idea from the pictures how perfect this resort is! First there were only two units closer to the beach than ours. We had a view of the beach, three pools, and the Driftwood Grill out door bar where we ate a few times. The grounds were meticulously maintained and the buildings, inside and out were as updated as they could be. The location was perfect for our exploring either north or south. We plan to come back and would love to stay here again.
nice room. nice hotel staff. nice resort. couple steps away from the beach. The only bads was parking was far from room and resort wasn't walking distance from anything
The listing description was 100 % accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities. It is a very nice resort and the room was clean and well-maintained. I loved the proximity to the beach. It was great for walks but too rough to swim in. But since we had a car, it was easy to check out the other parts of Kauai with better beaches to swim in. The owner/manager provided excellent customer service and everyone in the resort was friendly and helpful as well. We enjoyed our stay. Aloha!
We enjoyed the pools and the views! Quick response for booking and no issues checking in . We plan to come back with our kids as we noticed many families enjoying the area. Good location to get around to island and employees were friendly and welcoming. The room has AC and is at the end near the ocean, no much traffic in the halls, quiet and you can hear the ocean. Thank you for a great stay.
Check in was really easy. Very friendly staff. Valet parking was awesome. The room was comfortable and it had a good air conditioner. The safe and refrigerator came in really handy. The grounds were very well kept. At night with torches lit made it even more beautiful. The only negative thing is the room stayed damp. I know it's on the beach and that contributed to the dampness, but the carpet was actually wet feeling. When I had socks on at night to walk around the room they actually got wet. It was a bit musty smelling too. This is an older resort so these things are expected Overall, we enjoyed our time on the island Great happy hour too.
It was comfortable & clean, the location of the property is amazing, with great view. Highly recommended.
This was our first time to kauai, but have been to other islands. The room and pictures on the internet perfectly describe this unit. The colors are soothing and go witj the arrea. The air condiotioning worked without any problems. We had a mid week changed in towels and supplies which was perfect timing. You can add daily service for an additional fee. Every Tuesday they have an hour of music and dancing entertainment along with free alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. While vacationing here there was hardly anyone around which we truly enjoyed. They have 4 pools, a waterside and 2 hottubs. They also have a full spa which I never used. For the money it was a very good deal. The cons were they are renovating rooms close by which made the hallways smell of maybe some mastic. Being that I have asthma that was truly a negative. They have a lovely beach but it is not swimmable. However, the island is so small you can find plenty of places to go. The front desk was very helpful and courteous and the same for the valet parking. The place was well maintained. The food at the hotel was mediocre. Lastly, this island is very small and it was centrally located and very quiet. We would definitely return in the future.
This property was really nice! It had a great view of the ocean and being able to enjoy all the amenities of the resort such as the pool and tiki bar! The room was exactly as pictured and the AC worked really well. The owners were responsive and upfront about all the extra fees, which is definitely something to consider. The only drawback was that we had to pay extra for housekeeping services, which we were told up front, but didn't realize the extent of. We were told we would be charged for a full room cleaning just to get an extra roll of toilet paper. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at this property and would love to return!
