Miles of deserted white sand beaches await your discovery. This charming casita is located in the East Cape region of Baja California Sur, atop a breeze-catching knoll overlooking the rest of the large beachfront property. The beach is only 100 meters from your front door! Walking distance to the only restaurant/bar in the area with live musical entertainment every Saturday night.
Great bird watching in the surrounding desert. Whale watch from your patio or charter a boat with one of the local fishermen. Dive or snorkel right off the beach or drive 17 miles to Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park, site of the only hard coral reef in the Sea of Cortez. There you can dive with huge schools of fish, morbula rays, whale sharks, goliath groupers and hammerhead sharks.
Kite or wind surf launching right out front! Humpback whales pass on their way North as you enjoy a cocktail on the large shaded patio.
Minimize your carbon footprint while you vacation in this solar-powered home! Owners are knowledgeable about local tourism services, natural history and are bilingual. Ask about our catering service, in-room massage and yoga instruction.
Stay for a week or longer and receive our special discounted rate. We have also hosted weddings and the casita provides the ideal location for the bridal party to get ready while the groom bites his nails down at the main house.

We had a wonderful time staying at the casita and recommend it highly to those considering a stay there. The photos don't do the casita justice. It is a perfect space, with everything you need and nothing you don't. We spent hours enjoying the outdoor space, eating outside, reading in the hammock, or watching the moon rise. The nearby beaches were GORGEOUS and completely deserted. Heaven! It was a joy to get to know Dawn, and her groundskeeper, Roberto, was friendly and helpful, too. A highlight of the trip was getting to know the resident dogs, Millie, sweet Kali, and ever-smiling little Peanut; those three were a wonderful welcoming committee and a bright spot for our stay. We'd love to come back soon.
Dawn was a great host. Would go back in a heartbeat.
You have to try ????
We have stayed in VRBOs and Airbnbs all over the world and this property was one of the best and exceeded all expectations. While nothing is 'perfect', the casita was as near perfect as could be with the amazing view, outdoor setting, clean accommodations, private bedroom and bath, etc. Our hosts/caretakers were beyond gracious and helpful. Everything stated in the listing is accurate and then some - this is truly a special place and we cannot recommend it enough!! Thank you for making our stay at your wonderful place the highlight of our Mexican getaway!!
Excellent ,, it was very comfortable. It was a pleasure tó get tó know dawn and her dogs, She was very accomodating and helpful.
We wanted a place to get away from it all and relax. What we found was even better than that! I have been coming to Baja for 40 years & am so glad I found this place. I will be coming back year after year. The location is stunning, great sweeping views, peace & quiet & nature surrounds you. Dawn is an excelent, attentive, friendly host. The local caretaker & dogs are super. There is plenty to do there at the beach out front or hop in your rental car & go exploring. The margartias & nachos are a 5 minute walk down the beach, the best surf at 9 Palms is a 5 minute drive, the best skin & SCUBA diving is less than 1/2 hour away at Cabo Pulmo National Park. You are close enough to run into town for supplies or a meal yet far enough away to feel like you have earned your retreat! I can not wait until they rent the whole property: the back casita plus the big house with the pool on the beach bluff.
We rented the house for a few nights while diving in Cabo Pulmo, and it was the perfect choice! The house is large, comfortable, clean and right on the beach! Very relaxing and with an infinity pool and a great area to entertain! I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Cabo Pulmo!
Love this part of the world... We enjoyed our stay here. The current foster dogs, Millie and Kali, were sweet and adorable. It was a windy couple of days, but a nice beach 2 miles south (recommended in Dawn's notes) was sheltered and empty and great. The dirt road drive here from San Jose is not bad at all — much less jarring than the coast road from SJ to Zacatitos, etc. The casita is set back a bit from the (newer, grander) main house, but still has a nice view of the water and hills. All the beaches that I've seen in this area are a bit steep/sloshy (from a big storm a few years ago, I've heard?), but you can walk a nice long way south on the beach from here and see a ton. There was no internet in the casita, but using it from the main house veranda was a nice backup. All the water/electric/etc system worker just fine. Great grill setup. Plenty of shade in the hot weather. I do think some nice warmer-color-temp light bulbs would do wonders for the interior atmosphere. Thanks, Dawn!
A great place to stay if you really want to be off the grid. Dawn is a great host! This was our third trip here! Can’t wait to come back again.
