This was the perfect house for a couple of families - it's spacious, with new wood floors and comfortable bedrooms, and a small deck facing the trees so it feels very private. The pond is just past the neighbor's house and we enjoyed kayaking and swimming there. It's in a great location near Nickerson State Park and ocean beaches. We hope to be back next year.
The location of the house is fabulous. It is a short walk down to the pond where there is a nice private beach area. Very pleasant and never crowded. The bike path is very close by and popping over to Cobie's for ice cream was fun. We were six adults and four tweens/teens. Plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone to be comfortable. The house was clean and clearly well cared for. Loved the outdoor shower. The big dining room table was fabulous to have group meals. The only downside I can think of is that seating on the deck and in the living room was a bit limited. More seating in the living room or another area with comfy chairs to sit and read would improve the property. Brewster highlights - walking the tidal flats at low tide and getting croissants and Brewster buns from Eat Cake for Breakfast. I would definitely return to this house and I would recommend it to friends.
Great house! Big and easy for entertaining! Breakfast in the eat in kitchen, lunch on the deck, dinner around the beautiful French dining table and smores at the fire pit! Plenty of room for our big family of 6, plus my brothers and their two kids and we hosted friends for dinner and a fire who live in the cape for a change! The pond was a quick easy walk for an early morning swim or we could have easily spent the day if the Brewster bay beaches hadn't called us away. We got the week parking pass at the town hall and enjoyed a different Brewster bay beach everyday, and the Paines Creek sunsets and ice cream at night. Coobies around the corner for mid-day fried seafood run and the bike trail access so close to the house made for a super convenient week. We will certainly be back and thank the owner for being accessible and taking such great care of the home until we return!!
We visited over Thanksgiving and had a great time! Neil was super to work with and offered us access to everything we needed for the house. The house was very clean and tidy. It fit 5 adults and 7 kids (from teen down to 3) without feeling cramped and we were inside a lot (due to time of year!). We loved the short walk to the pond and bike path, the fire pit was perfect to make s'mores!
The house was great for our family group of 5 adults and 4 children. It was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We especially liked the big dining table, the deck, and the fire pit. The setting was quiet and very private; a short walk to a pond for swimming and kayaking and a short walk to access the Cape Cod Bike Trail. We enjoyed walking the trail to Cobies for seafood and ice cream. The Brewster beaches were perfect for young children; no surf and no sharks! Brewster is also a good central location to explore the rest of the cape. Neil was very easy to work with and we hope to return for another Cape Cod vacation.
Great house! Owner very responsive. House clean and highly functional. Enjoyed using the fire pit to make s'mores.
We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive and friendly as we planned our family vacation. Great location and had a wonderful time on the cape.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house definitely accommodated our family with 6 adults and 2 kids. It is right next to a beautiful lake. However, the beach area was closed due to flooding, but we were still able to take out the kayaks. Two bikes were in the garage but not usable due to flat tires. All the rooms were large, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was great and included some condiments. Although not stated on the listing, bed linens are typically not provided. But we spoke with Neil and he was able to provide the linens were needed for our stay.
Had a great week. House comfortable and close to the beach we like. Was nice that it was stocked w beach games and chairs etc
