log home on Lake Huron sandy beach

Absolutley great spot! The pictures do not do this property justice. Unbelievably quiet. Brought 2 children and our golden retriever. All 3 enjoyed it beyond our dreams. Propane gas grill, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, clean towels, sheets, etc. Close to a trout farm, lighthouse and one bedroom school house for tours. Very relaxing, large beach. Grocery store nearby for basics, limited butcher shop and seafood options. Train tracks nearby which were mesmerizing for all! Highly recommend!

This log home "lodge" was a positive experience from start to finish; it surpassed our expectations! The ambiance was phenominal, from the stunning interior and comfortable lay-out of the overall floor plan, to the incredible sun rises and the even more spectacular moon rises. The lake view from the great room, as well as the master bedroom and balcony, were priceless. A very,very peaceful location and setting overall. I was a "hero" with our family group ( brothers and Dad ) for discovering this gem...and was given an overwhelmingly hands-down vote of approval to make this our annual destination of choice, hopefully for years to come! I definitely want to book a return stay with my wife and kids as well -- they would love this place. Thanks Rob for your friendly assistance and for providing such an outstanding rental property...definitely count us in, God willing, for the same time frame in 2012!!

We rented Rob's log cabin to have our family together for Fathers' Day. My father and husband, as hunters, were enthralled and in sportsman's heaven. There were bald eagles, ducks, swans, turtles, deer, tadpoles and frogs to keep the kids stimulated. The neighbor's dog, Maggie, a German short haired pointer, came to visit us each day. The property was stunning and we took care of it as such. Rob was incredibly gracious, unfailingly polite, and easy to work with. Best Fathers' Day ever. Best family vacation ever. It's unanimous that we all want to return next year. Thank you, again, Rob!

What a great time to enjoy a very private beach front getaway. This our second year here, we truly love this place. The kids love the sandy beach out into Lake Huron, the freedom to roam, and safety of this our adopted yearly retreat! The neighbors, when you do happen to run into them, are very friendly and courteous. Absolutely breath taking sunrises over Lake Huron, from almost any room in the log home! The full kitchen, two full bathroom, and huge deck affords me the comfort of home away from home with only with my own beach. This place gives plenty of room for my family or for a multiple friend gathering. High stars ROB!

This place was everything we wanted and needed and more! We have an annual "friendfamily" beach house trip to spend time, laugh, and love together during our busy lives. This house fit our group comfortably, loved having two full bathrooms! The beach is so much closer to the house than we imagined, which was the best kind of surprise! Our first night the skies were clear enough to see more stars than any of us had in our lives!!! We stayed up to watch the sunrise every morning because it was too beautiful for words. What a gem of a home - thank you for sharing it with us to make more memories in!

My family and I just stayed at this vacation home in August and it was amazing. You couldn't ask for a better beach, with a sandbar just a short walk into the water and rock-free beach. I have two young children and it was shallow enough for a great distance out that they felt secure to swim. The master suite in the home is beautiful and spacious, as is the open floor plan of the main level. Having a washer and dryer in the home was also a huge bonus, as young kids tend to soil their clothes quickly! The dishwasher in the kitchen was fantastic! The beach is just a few steps off of the huge, amazing wrap-a-round deck, and the deck furniture allowed us to spend even more time outside. This house really is the perfect vacation get-a-way for families, including small children. We definitely hope to be back next summer!

Wonderful home on a very nice piece of land. Very quiet and relaxing. I'd stay again!

Cabin was nice and clean. Kids loved seeing all the different animals on the walls. Beach was nice and the meighbors werent around our entire stay so it was peaceful. Things are a little tight driving back but i managed fine with my truck and 21' boat. Overall a great stay and Robert seems like a nice guy. Thanks for sharing your treasure with us!
