So much to do in WinterWinter
is a wonderful time to visit the Finger Lakes and the scenery can be
spectacular. Festivals, wine tastings, skiing - both cross country and
downhill, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, and the fantastic
waterfalls are perfect for outdoor lovers. And for those who prefer to
curl up with a cup of hot cocoa in the living room, there's a wood
fireplace and lots of books and games. Or watch the snow falling
through the large picture window. It's warm and cozy inside and just
right for relaxing and forgetting about the weather. Comments from our guests:
"Very nice and cozy place to stay with an amazing view. Thank you!"
"Thanks
for having all the nice pots, pans and dishes available for our
Christmas dinner. Our white Christmas in New York was great!"
"Great spot for a snowy escape." |
We're right in the middle of all the wonderful things the Finger Lakes has to offer.
A few minutes drive will take you to Taughannock Falls
State Park and the magnificent Taughannock Falls waterfall, Cayuga
Lake, Cornell, Ithaca College, The Finger Lakes Wine Trail, Montezuma
Wildlife Refuge, plenty of antique stores, art galleries, wonderful
restaurants and more.
Or just relax in the cottage or outside. Curl up
with a good book, play a board game, walk around the lawn or play
Frisbee with your pup.
Only a few miles away there is a sight that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Seneca White Deer are leucistic deer with a recessive white gene. They have been sheltered in what was the Seneca Army depot and fenced off from the outside world for decades. As a result, this is now the largest herd of white deer in the world! Beautiful to see and now open for tours. Recently bird tours have been added. This is something the whole family will enjoy!

This house did not disappoint! We loved our stay here and made our hectic days end on a peaceful and serene note. We enjoyed seeing deer roam freely and walking out to enjoy the creek. Wish we would have had a lot more downtime!
Great location, quiet and nature filled. Comfy, clean and welcoming
This is a nice place and Judy was easy to reach. The house has 2 acres and plenty of space inside. I really appreciated the book of instructions. It makes the check in process very easy and eliminates the necessity of having to figure out how thing s work or where they are. We would come back here if we visited again.
We traveled to the area from Las Vegas NV for our nearby wedding and this house was simply perfect perfect! We enjoyed the house and surrounding property throughout our stay and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The property owner left us detailed instructions and made the entire rental experience so simple! 10/10 experience, would absolutely rent again!
This rental was excellent. We stayed after a wine tour and it was everything we needed. The area was private and quiet which was nice. I loved the fact that I was able to bring my dog along too. I will rent again next time I have a wine tour
Lovely spot, quiet and comfortable. Beds were great, too ! Only confusion was street number of cottage. I think one of my brothers ended up in owner's driveway. Quickly resolved. Would definitely stay again. Additional light and an exhaust fan would be helpful in the bathroom. Lovely, peaceful, quiet property, perfect !
Loved our time here it was quiet, cozy and private. Very clean and the owner was quick to respond to all our questions and very accommodating. Would rent again
Had a fun 2 nights during our roadtrip, it met expectations and proved to be a very enjoyable experience
We came in town for a race and this space was spacious and perfect for resting up before and after the race. Beautiful property as well and grateful for a place that allows pets.
My sister and I stayed at Judy's Place for a week and loved it. The place was very clean and comfortable. We were able to make ourselves right at home. Judy was very cordial and very attentive to our needs. I corresponded with her via texting and whenever I sent her a text with a question she replied immediately. The house was on two acres of land in the country so it was quiet and we loved the night sounds of the insects around. It was so relaxing. If we ever go out that way again we would certainly stay there again.
