Our cabin was completely remodeled in 2009 and is for those who enjoy the natural outdoors and related sports activities. The cabin is purposefully set up to unplug and get away from the hectic modern life. Basic Wi Fi and electronics are provided but it is not our focus. It is a well maintained, air conditioned home near Buckhorn Bridge and beautiful Buckhorn State Park on a very wooded lot that has a large clearing in back to play or relax by the fire. Well behaved dogs welcome. Convenient rural location. 2 bedrooms (1 Queen bed and the other has 2 twin beds). Sunroom has full size futon. Wood burning stove. Basic Wi Fi. Sits back from the road in the center of 1.5 acres. Kitchen has plenty of room and full sized appliances and is stocked with cooking utensils and many seasonings so guests don't have to pack so heavily. No dishwasher. Living room with sofa, Sony Bravia 32' LCD TV, DVD/VHS player with two easy chairs, and wood burning stove. Firewood is provided all season. Good selection of movies. Our sunroom with it's vaulted ceiling has lots of windows to enjoy wooded view, sounds of nature and the evening breezes. Several books, game table with plenty of games to choose from, ceiling fan and radio. 1 bath with shower. Large private wooded lot with fire pit (firewood provided). Horse shoe pit, grill (propane provided). Cabin is surrounded by woods and feels secluded but yet it's close enough to run out for things you might have forgotten to bring along and to the popular family friendly Buckhorn Grill and Bar.. Enjoy evening outdoor fires on their huge patio. Great place to reconnect with your family, friends in a setting that feels like home. Even family pets will feel like they have had a vacation! If you or your family relies heavily on Wi Fi internet and data sharing and movie streaming we are not likely the best fit for your travels. We can however buy more GB through our internet provider at an extra charge. There are several access points to beautiful Castle Rock Lake, many boat landings and swimming beaches. Local rural convenient store selling many grocery items, serves freshly made pizzas, packaged liquor, fishing licenses and gas. Buckhorn Grill and Bar is a casual dining restaurant that has good food and service. Dining is available inside and out with lots of parking, play area and fire pits. Our cabin is set back off of County Rd G near both the Buckhorn State Park and Buckhorn Bridge which is on on Castle Rock Lake. All of this is within a five minute rural drive from the cabin. Wisconsin Dells and a large shopping outlet are just about 30 minutes south on I-90. Red Hen Antiques is a very good store north of the cabin on Rt 58 in Necedah and Downtown Baraboo has many antiques and specialty shops. Looking for a place to unplug and unwind? The UnDells Cabin is just the place and best suited for small families, two couples or groups of 4 wanting to get together. |
The best benefit is getting away to a natural setting and feeling relaxed whether the stay is a week or weekend. Our area is very much about Castle Rock Lake and nature without all of the hustle associated with most tourist oriented destinations. Even in the height of our summer season, there is plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed of the shores or boats and people can experience the quiet of nature. There is nothing like being in nature to restore people and pets.
its an experience most urban children do not have. Campfires at night under the starry sky are great fun. The laughter and delight of children playing in the lake or running with their pets in a wooded area surrounded by acres and acres of tall trees is wonderful. There are huge Osprey nests just off the roads on telephone poles. The birds will frequently go fishing for their supper while families fish from shore or off boats. We ah e a couple local horse ranches for families to enjoy. Buckhorn State Park offers canoe rentals, hiking trails and a sandy beach with swings.

Playing in the yard and building campfires. We spent time at Buckhorn State Park and found a little ranch to ride horses. We loved the Buckhorn Cafe a nice treat after cooking meals at the cabin. The cabin was well kempt, beds were comfortable, nice layout, great cabin decor. We hope to return!
Host, Janette was so quick to respond to inquiries and very accomodating with a few requests. The cabin was very clean and the layout was perfect for our group of 4 adults. We really enjoyed the sun room! The cabin is decorated very nicely! Took advantage of the firepit and horse shoe's in the private, wooded back yard. So awesome to be able to bring our dogs with on vacation. We would looooove to go back!
This cabin was adorable, comfy and very cozy!! We arrived during a cold snap and the baseboard heaters kept us warm. We could have used the fireplace but chose not to. They had everything you needed to prepare meals (except food). We heard the trains but they weren't too loud or distracting. We would definitely stay there again the next time we head north and will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Perfect for a weekend getaway with a couple of friends. Very clean and cozy. Will come back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very clean and quaint cabin with all we needed for a quick weekend away. Thank you!
Great place, very private, clean and nicely decorated, close enough to fun activities and great weather.
A great time was had again it’s our 5 th year going and it’s great????
We always have a great time here!! It’s a great place in a nice area with a great owner ????????
We enjoyed the week-long stay very much. The cottage is located within a short drive to the state park nature area. There are couple of beaches nearby. The place was very clean and comfortable. There are number of activities nearby such as horseback riding, tubing and water sports. Wisconsin Dells are about 30 minutes away close enough for a day trip. The train tracks proximity may be an issue for some, but we didn’t find that to be the case for us. The owners were very easy to deal with and everything was as promised. I highly recommend the place.
The Undells cabin is a lovely getaway spot. The cabin is homey and comfortable. Spent a lot of time on the wonderful screen porch. Jannette made the process so easy and she was very helpful with check-in. We had? a wonderful time.
