Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home on Elm Island bay off of the Fox River in Waterford, WI. This home has all of the charm of an up-north cabin, but is fully updated and just a short 30 minute drive from Milwaukee and less than an hour from Chicago's northern suburbs. Single story home with little to no stairs required to get to the water less than twenty steps from the back door. Wood burning stove and tongue and groove pine finishes give you that up north feel, but all of the updates will make you feel right at home. Laundry on the living level and two full bathrooms offer convenience and comfort. Sleeping arrangements for 10 if needed: Master bedroom features a queen size memory foam bed, 2nd bedroom facing the water has a bunk bed with full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top, 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed with full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top, and living room couch pulls out into a queen size sleeper sofa. Kitchen table seating for six or seven people, with additional stools and eating area at the island. All kitchen appliances are less than 5 years old, including refrigerator, stove, and over the range microwave. Bring your fishing poles and swim trunks - the Fox River and Lake Tichigan are abundant with Largemouth Bass and Catfish, and provide plenty of opportunity for Bluegills, Northern Pike, Walleye, and an occasional Trout. Lake Tichigan is great for swimming or boating, and there are more than one restaurants accessible by boat and provide docking. Bring your own boat and keep it on the private pier or take advantage of the complimentary paddle boat that is already in the water waiting for you. Pontoon rentals are available at the marina (River City Marina-Waterford) less than one mile down the river by boat or automobile. Elm Island bay is a shallow low-traffic bay off of the Fox River and is home to swans and abundant wildlife. Fishermen frequent the bay in search of Largemouth Bass, Bluegills, and Catfish, all of which can be caught right from the pier. Swimming in Elm Island Bay (off the pier) is not desirable due to shallow water, lillypads, weeds and mucky bottom. In the evening you can have a fire in the back yard or in the house, but the furnace will keep you warm if desired or central air is there to cool you down. Upgraded to 60 Mbps Wi-Fi (June 2017) and 46" LED TV will keep you entertained if the fishing and lake cannot. Spectrum HD cable with approximately 120 channels available and also HD upconvert DVD player. Please come relax and enjoy all that the beautiful Fox River and Lake Tichigan have to offer year-round.

My husband, son and I had the most wonderful time. We don’t fish, but my husband and I loved sitting outside and reading, looking at the beautiful view! The baby loved crawling around. We made the quick drive over to Browns Lake to go swimming every day, and my husband enjoyed golfing at the nearby course. The house was so comfy and beautiful and we all slept really well - especially the baby! We had such a great time - hope to be back next year!
We were travelling from Ireland to Chicago to visit family and decided to spend a few days somewhere rural not too far from the city. This cabin on the Fox river / lake Tichigan was perfect for us. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. Very clean and had everything we needed on hand. Grant let a very Irish welcome for our arrival which was lovely. We had 4 adults, 3 long lanky teenagers, and an 18-month old baby and there was plenty of space for all. It was so relaxing esp after a few days in the city, sitting on the jetty, attempting to fish, canoeing down the rivers, going for runs around the neighborhood. Loads of wildlife to see and hear. Also convenient drive to shops, cafes, restaurants, and activities. PS top tip: check out the Aquaducks on Thursday evenings on Brown’s Lake - definitely something you don’t see in Ireland!! Thanks, Grant
This house was exactly what we were looking for, a weekend escape in front of a river. Everything was set up to make it easy for us. Everything labeled, easy access, super comfy three beds and two baths and super clean! We would definitely go back. Grant was in touch all the time, great host!
We’re returning guests - three summers now plus additional visits in the spring. It’s the perfect property for our family - cozy, but big enough for everyone - simple fun of dock fishing and paddle boats - home living/cooking with all the amenities provided. It’s neat and clean - all linens and towels are literally fresh from the dryer. Grant is a great owner - anything you need, he’s got it covered. Till our next visit :)
We only spent three days, but Grant’s property was pretty much as advertised. The place is clean and modern with everything we needed. The paddle boat rudder didn’t work so we went in circles, but not a big deal. We never had the chance to meet Grant in person but we recommend this place.
Grant is an outstanding host. Went above and beyond multiple times for us. We had a great stay and a wonderful time. Thank you! We loved the backyard and the river and lake. It was so relaxing and beautiful!
This house is way larger inside than pictures depict. Nice small fenced in backyard for Lily (my German Shepherd) to hang out in....great fire pit....
Loved the swans coming to the pier every night! The home is absolutely adorable, clean, well appointed and modern. The area has much to offer as well. Would do it again! One of our best sister trips! Patty and Pam Ross
Had a great time! Caught the biggest bass I’ve ever caught!! Caught a lot of fish!! Awesome house! Wonderful location!! Beautiful weather!!
My family enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this place. Thanks!
