About the Property
The Snowed Inn is located in the Village of Angel Fire, NM and part of the Enchanted Circle, just 30 minutes from Taos, Red River and 2 hours from Santa Fe & 3 hours from Albuquerque. Our 4500 sq. ft. home sits on 2.3 acres with access to the Oeste Vista Trail which overlooks the Angel Fire Resort Country Club and Nordic Center. At an elevation of 8900ft we are on the mountain ski-side and minutes from whipped-cream snow covered trails and ski lifts, with a ski-in/ski-out parking area about 3 minutes away. The main entrance opens to the living room with soaring ceilings, a wood-burning rock fireplace, 64” Big Screen TV, surround sound, floor-to-ceiling windows for those spectacular views, giving you the lodge type affect. The lodge level includes a family-size dining room that seats 8, center island and bar which seats 6, living room, kitchen, pool table and three large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a kiva fire place and private entrance to the deck area and hot tub. The other bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house which are adjoined by French doors. A day bed with trundle is in one room which has a private entrance to the deck and the other bedroom has a queen sized bed. Enjoy our new indoor/outdoor room just off the living room where you can enjoy the outside without the wind and cold. For your dineing pleasure we have a fully equipped kitchen on the main level and a mini-kitchen on the garden level. Additionally on the large outside deck is a gas grill accessible from the living room or you can cook right on the grill in the wood burning fire place. Lastly, a smoker is located on the garden level. The garden level has a living room with a gas fire place and private entrance, including a queen sized bedroom and bathroom. This area features a full size murphy bed and a hideaway couch bed. The kid’s room which is adjacent to the living room has bunk beds and the washer and dryer. The outside gardens have a wood-burning kiva fireplace for the evening toddy and/or roasting marshmallows. After a long day of winter exploring sit by the hand artisan stone masonry wood burning fire place and awe at the fantastic views. Or, you can relax in the hot tub and feast your eyes on Wheeler Peak in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Southern Colorado mountain range. The Angel Fire Resort Country Club is five minutes away for a fabulous dineing experience. The Nordic Center and Sledding is in this area. The facilities includes a health club, exercise classes, swimming pool, and beautiful fine dining restaurant or for smaller fare in the Elements bar. You may use all of the facilities at the club for a fee. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are other fabulous winter activities in the Angel Fire area including snowmobiling, sledding, tubing, ice fishing, sleigh rides and horseback riding. And if you didn’t get enough during the day, we have night skiing too. Come to Angel Fire and have a GREAT time where memories are made! |

This home has everything a large group needs to have a great time! We had 3 families with children ranging from 15 to 6. There was plenty of room. The pool table was a big hit, so was the hot tub. We brought sleds and the kids had a blast sledding next to the house while the grown ups unpacked. The house was spacious and the Davey's were so amazing, friendly and they took care of all our needs. The house is only a few minutes from the slopes, and shops.
We are a group of 3 families that travel together. There were 13 of us (7 adults and 6 children ages 7-12). The house was perfect for us. It's very well maintained and there is plenty of room for a large group. The downstairs area was ideal for the kids to have their own area while the adults enjoyed the upstairs living room, kitchen and pool area. But the best part is the owners. Penni was extremely attentive with us since we booked many months ago. She took phone calls and texts and went above an beyond to explain the property, the area and to make us feel at home. The ski area is ideal for beginners like several of our children although I assume that in January and February with more snow and trails open the mountain is great for advanced skiers as well since it has 80 or so slopes. Overall it was a very fun and relaxing trip. Highly recommend this property!
This is an amazing property, with truly amazing hosts. This property is a huge slice of luxury for the family looking for a very relaxing getaway. The house has in floor heating, huge rooms, great amenities, and two of the most charming hosts you can imagine. It is hard to believe they would even rent this home, but they do, and we are the ones blessed for it. If the snow is here when you rent, do not underestimate your need for chains or 4 wheel drive, or your stay may be marred by inaccessibility to the property. You need these for the drive from the resort up to the property, about a 2 mile drive in often un-plowed roads. It can be challenging to get in and out without 4wd or chains, but if you have them, it is no problem getting up and down the mountain.
My entire immediate family stayed here for a winter vacation. It was perfect for us. My family has small children and took over the entire downstairs, while my brother’s family has older kids and took the joining rooms upstairs. My parents had the master. It was awesome bc we were not on top of each other and everyone had their own space while still having a HUGE open kitchen, dining, and living area. Seriously our only wish was that there was a keurig coffee maker so we could bring our own coffee...not really a complaint! The owners were lovely to work with...met us at the house even earlier than we had originally planned. They gave us the whole tour and low down on everything. We will definitely be booking again!
