About the Property
Home is fully furnished, and beautifully landscaped. Home has a wilderness setting on 1.5 private acres. Beautiful back yard deck overlooks stream with waterfall. At night, lights overlook falls and stream where you can sometimes view wild trout. Open window or screen door and hear the sound of the waterfall throughout the home. The front yard also has a covered porch/deck that overlooks a second waterfall and pond bordering a beautiful enclosed Gazebo. The home is very spacious with high ceilings. It has a large Master bedroom and two other nice size bedrooms. A large living room, dining room and eat in kitchen with a table and large bar overlooking pond! All bed linens and towels provided. Fully equipped kitchen including dishes and cooking utensils. TV is setup with Roku streaming. The home borders a national park which has several streams and waterfalls within walking distance. Within a few miles is Upper Whitewater Falls which is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. The falls plunge an amazing 411 feet!This is an extremely desirable area in North Carolina, close to Cashiers & Highlands. Brevard is a 30-minute drive and Asheville is an hour and 15 minutes away. Area is famous for the many waterfalls in the surrounding regions. We loved this rental. A very homey feel. Stocked way beyond our expectation in the kitchen. Living room furniture showing some age but still very comfortable. The home was extremely clean. Beds and pillows comfortable. Lots of bath towels. The outside was gorgeous. Very tranquil and private. Looking forward to making another reservation. I dealt with the owner via email and she was awesome and answered all my questions promptly.
From the peace of a mountain stream and waterfall behind the house to a pond and waterfall in front-who could ask for more? So nice not having any traffic noises! It was so clean and everything we needed was there! Our adult children joined us for the weekend of waterfalls, great food, and beautiful sights. We even got to see a large black bear on the way back from Cashier’s after dining at Mica’s! Thank you for providing such a great relaxing retreat!
The place was exactly what we were looking for. The pond and patio was ideal for the R&R we needed. Slept comfortably and very quiet peaceful place. Would give it 10 stars if possible. Terri was very responsive to all questions and quick with all responses. Thank you again Terri.
It is hard to say what we enjoyed the most about this stay! The location is so centrally located to tons of incredible hiking, waterfalls and scenery. One day we went towards the Highlands, the next to Brevard, the next to Cashiers and the final day to South Carolina. But perhaps our favorite hike was to a beautiful waterfalls accessed by walking directly from the property...we had it all to ourselves! Two other couples joined us and we had plenty of room. The kitchen is laid out well for three people to work on cooking, the dining area was perfect for our meals. But the grounds... just WOW. So completely private and serene. Gathering spaces abound. Front porch, back deck, fire pit, it has it all. You will not be disappointed!
We had a wonderful stay. The cabin presents such a beautiful, warm welcome. The landscaping, the porches, the pond, the creek, the gazebo, the outdoor fire pit are so lovely and inviting. The location is superb, secluded, yet close to everything. Our host was delightful to work with. Accommodations were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We loved that the nearby hiking trail to the waterfall was available for us to sample our surroundings. Could not have asked for anything more!!
Property is very well maintained and well stocked. It worked perfectly for our family and owners made it very convenient.
This cabin was a perfect getaway from the heat. It was very cool and Sapphire and was a lovely mountain community . The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed . It was in a very secluded area so very peaceful and quiet with great water amenities . We will go again !
This is a lovely home. It is very comfortably furnished. It is also well stocked. We enjoyed our visit. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Well-stocked with supplies and information on area hiking/dining options (try the pizza at Slab City!). Terri was an amazing hostess and her quick response over a holiday long weekend made all the difference to our stay.
This is our first Vacation rental property stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The area was beautiful and the sounds of nature we’re relaxing. Property is spacious and accommodating. Very good first experience!
