About the Property
Fabulous vacation home, recently remodeled, and wonderfully livable! Stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains await you from the spacious deck that sits atop our boathouse! Plenty of room for sunning, lounging, and diving from the top into the cool mountain lake water. We are located in the best cove on Lake Lure for swimming and accessing the lake is easy as there are only a few steps from the house to the lake. A canoe, paddle board, paddles , and floats are provided for your use. Our house was just completely remodeled and expanded! Central heat and air make it comfortable year round. The brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen includes granite counter tops, a large island, and all new appliances. The kitchen is open to the living room, which includes a wet bar with beverage refrigerator, a large stone fireplace, and a 43 inch TV with Direct TV access. Both the living area and dining area are surrounded by windows, allowing enjoyment of the view even from the inside! The dining area provides a table for 10, and opens onto an upstairs deck that provides space to chat, play cards, or enjoy the view. The entire upstairs (main level) offers antique heart pine floors. Easy-to-navigate interior staircase takes you downstairs. Both levels are centrally heated and cooled. Sleeping accommodations are as follows, with each bedroom having its own private, spacious bathroom. Upstairs (main level) - 1 bedroom with queen bed and full bath and second bedroom with two twin beds and full bath. Downstairs - Two very spacious bedrooms, each one of which contains a queen bed and a twin bed. Each bedroom has its own very spacious bathroom. There is additional sleeping space suitable for children provided by the use of two "floor mattresses" suitable for a sleeping bag. There is a clothes washer and dryer in the downstairs, and linens and towels are provided. A deposit of half is required to guarantee rental. There is a cleaning charge of $150 and a 6% tax is required. There is also a $300.00 refundable damage deposit required, and we do not allow pets. We are sorry that we cannot make any exceptions to the NO PETS rule. Call owner to inquire about the property. |

Payment Policies
| The clean up fee of $150.00 plus the $300.00 refundable damage deposit is not included in the above fees. During the months of June, July and August, I prefer to rent by the week. However, I will rent for less than a week, but three night minimum is required and rate is $1500.00, plus 5% tax, $150.00 clean up fee and a refundable $300.00 damage deposit. In other months we welcome three night minimum.
Holiday rates may vary. Please inquire for details. We will usually ask for at least a 3 night minimum over holidays. |

Great place, exactly as advertised. Our group of 10 fit comfortably. Kids had a grand time jumping from the boathouse, adults enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards. Good sunset view. Owner was friendly and responsive.

We had a wonderful time, the house is beautiful and very reasonably priced. Lake Lure seems to be a hidden treasure in North Carolina. The owner was totally accommodating in every way. This property will be an annual trip for us.
The house could not have worked out better for our group of 8 adults! This was the first sibling family reunion my brothers and I arranged, and it could not have been more enjoyable! We had such a great time at this lakefront home on Lake Lure. The way the house is laid out made it feel more spacious than the square footage listed. The 4 bedrooms and 4 baths on two floors made all the difference for the early risers and late sleepers to enjoy their individual schedules! The upper deck is perfect for morning coffee and a spectacular view. The fully equipped, newly remodeled kitchen made dinners so enjoyable. The homeowner Bill was a pleasure to work with – attentive, informative and very accessible. I would recommend this vacation home to anyone! Thanks Bill for a great family vacation!
This home is simply wonderful. Location is ideal in a quiet wide cove with stunning views of the mountains. Private home surrounded by trees and beautiful landscaping. Home is updated with tons of windows and natural light. Comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed almost every meal out on the dock deck. Kids had hours of fun jumping off dock into lake. Bill, the owner, was accessible and super helpful/friendly. Loved this week at his lake house!!! Will be back again.
Property exactly as advertised and excellent location. Owner accessible and friendly. Kids and adults enjoyed jumping off boathouse and using the kayaks and paddle boards. Nice wide cove that was great for swimming and was large enough that even when neighbors or those across cove were swimming you still had a large area of personal space
This is a terrific find for many reasons. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (shower or bathtub), and the living room/ kitchen/dining area has a great view of the lake and a mountain. The kitchen is well-stocked and there is even an extra half-size fridge in the wet bar. My family members- adults and teens- had fun jumping off the boathouse deck into the water, and we enjoyed the floats too. We saw a turtle, a big lizard, deer, and a great blue heron during our stay. We hiked at Chimney Rock State Park, about a 30 min. drive and expensive but a great view on top of Chimney Rock and a pretty waterfall you can hike to. The owner is friendly and got back to us quickly when we had questions.
We had a wonderful time at the lake house! The location will take your breath away!
