Great Escape To Quiet, Beach And Lake Michigan Our Home is nestled in a quiet setting. Interior boasts two full baths and kitchen done in granite and travertine. Three bedrooms, patio and large yard. Start a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows. It's a great place to sit back and relax. The house is a stones throw away to the beach (you can hear the waves from the deck) where you can relax and enjoy amazing sunsets or long walks along the shores*. All linens and towels are furnished as well as everything you need in the kitchen. Also a grill is provided for some outdoor BBQ. Come experience this cozy and comfortable cottage and all the area has to offer. Obviously, we cannot guarantee how much shore we will have from year to year. The lake level raises and lowers every year giving you more shore or less shore. Updated 6/5/18: Both of our Beach access took a hit these past winters and are not accessible, okay if you just want to take a look, see the sunset... but not for a day at the beach. |

We were looking for a quick and easy weekend getaway for our small family and this location did not disappoint. The property was perfect for our needs and centrally located between South Haven and Saugatuck for close access to a variety of activities. The property manager also was very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this property!
It was perfect!! Would come again for sure!!!
We had a great time at this Glenn Shores property! Our three young children had a blast running around the large yard- catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The location is ideal- close to Douglas/Saugatuck and several beaches within 30min drive. We spent time in Holland too! The property is in a very peaceful neighborhood with wildlife galore! We saw foxes, many bird species, several deer (even two fawn nursing one evening!), and a coyote! Owner was very responsive and check-in/out was a breeze! Our only (very minor!) issues were: -The strong iron odor of the well water. (We aren't accustomed to well water, so this may be normal??) -Tripping hazard outside the bedroom with twin beds. Likely not an issue for guests without kids :)
My family of 4 loved our 5-night stay at this cute little cottage. The house was super clean including both bathrooms and kitchen. All kitchen pots/pans, plates, flatware, etc were very clean (can you tell I appreciate cleanliness?!) and there were plenty of soft, clean bath towels. The kids loved having a fire pit for smores in the evenings and TV in the mornings while mom
This gem of a property was a perfect fit for us, with everything as advertised. Terry was very available and helpful without being intrusive. A-plus hosting. The house has lots of sleeping space and is probably a bargain for most people. Being out in the quiet a couple of extra minutes away from groceries and the town was preferable for us. We saw deer and critters every day (YMMV) and we were that much closer to the fun areas to the north. The internet is not blazing fast, but it works just fine. If you're running smart phones and the connection starts to frustrate you, consider turning off some background data or only syncing stuff overnight. Your phone likely assumes that being connected to WIFI means it can hog as much data as it pleases, which is not always helpful. Worst things: the fridge and floor were a bit loud? There's very little to complain about. The bathrooms don't have fans, so the unseasonal warmth demanded a bit of planning, but the house remained comfortable. We didn't explore the backyard, but it looked nice. Lately, be aware of high lake levels. Beaches are still there and nothing seemed odd or inconvenient to us (despite the lake being over 2ft higher than normal), but some beaches are reportedly smaller and with the neighborhood stairs out, the ramp access is the nearest way to get to water, just like Terry says. Area: This was our first time vacationing in this area, and it was as pleasant as advertised. South Haven is nice, but Saugatuck and Holland have adorable areas that are worth the short trips. For wooded scenery, there are a number of short, low-to-moderate hiking trails all around the area. It took some research, but we filled three days without paying to go into a state park.
My husband and I stayed this past weekend. The place was clean and well put together. A short distance to Saugatuck and South Haven. We enjoyed the shopping and the beaches. Beautiful place to visit!! Thank you Terry for providing a wonderful place to stay for a much needed rest.
We had a great time at this property. Worked perfectly as a halfway between south haven and saugatuck. Weren't able to use the association beaches so we went to north beach in south haven for our 80 degree day! Would stay again
For our annually girls getaway, a great location in the woods, beautiful new interior, and cozy fire pit! Would highly recommend!
We loved this cottage for our first girls weekend. Communication with owner was great and timely. Nice and clean house, very cute!!
