I discovered this cabin while on a trail run last summer. It is just steps off the beautiful spring creek trail and is adorable. After realizing we could rent the cabin, I quickly reserved our stay for August 2019 for my husband’s 45th birthday.. I had been looking forward to this weekend for a LONG time and it exceeded my expectations. It’s hard to describe, but there is something very special about this place. It’s not fancy but has a wonderfully cozy and homey feeling that makes you not want to leave. We had all sorts of plans in and around Steamboat but found that we most enjoyed our time at the cabin, in the creek and exploring the trails. The place is very tidy, fully stocked, with lots of windows and light. The beds are comfy and there is plenty of space for a family of four. We loved the new deck and listening to the creek and the hummingbirds which were everywhere! My twin 8 year old boys had a ball and did NOT miss technology while we were here - another bonus. :) Communication with Stephanie (owner) was easy. We are already looking forward to returning. What a weekend!
Will come back, the perfect little place.
It’s amazing that we were able to rent such a gem. Amazing location. Everything you need to make happy memories!
This cabin expirience is a very western delightful hide out. Hidden yet walking distance to town
Already looking forward to returning.... The pictures of the cabin online looked absolutely amazing, but still they didn’t do justice to just how incredible it is inside and out! If I were to dream up the perfect cabin, this would be it. Hours of gorgeous hiking, biking, and enjoying the lovely deck. Left completely exhausted and happy from all the activities. Loved being surrounding by trees, but so close to town and all the restaurants it had to offer. Also treated to seeing several deer, a bear picking berries that scurried off when it saw me , and too many hummingbirds and chipmunks to count all in the woods neighboring the cabin. Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the spring creek cabin. It was a beautiful and unique property that had everything we needed. The owner Stephanie was excellent to work with and btw Stephanie...we found our camera in our box of ritz crackers! Also, fish creek falls, which is nearby, is a must see!
The cabin and its location are magical. We never imagined we would drive a few blocks from main street Steamboat and onto a short dirt road that leads to this darling cabin. Beyond the cabin, the road turns to a 15 mile hiking and biking trail that was beautiful. The cabin is wonderfully situated on a small creek with loads of privacy and gorgeous scenery to enjoy all around the cabin. The trail outside the front door made for nice morning walks. The cabin is only a few minutes to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs (so cool!) and some of the most popular hiking trails in Steamboat. We could walk to most of the restaurants in town - who knew Steamboat had so many fabulous restaurants? No need to stray from the owner's recommendations for dining - every restaurant we tried was fantastic and all had great atmosphere! Favorites were Mahogany Ridge, Creekside (patio) and Salt and Lime. The cabin and kitchen were extremely well-stocked and the unit was ready early for us and spotless. Our stay here was so wonderful, we're already making plans to stay again next summer for wildflower season! Thanks for a great stay!!
Our family spent two days during our fall break at this wonderful cabin. As we drove up to the cabin, we knew this was going to be an unforgettable stay and one that our family was going to truly enjoy! We went for walks with our dogs, while it snowed, directly from the cabin. No neighbors in site, only people walking with their dogs or riding mountain bikes. Being only a mile from Steamboat, we went out for fun breakfasts and dinners. Stephanie was wonderful to make sure we had all that we needed and the cabin was beautiful. We played games, watched movies, and read books (when we weren't hiking or walking through town). The wood burning stove made it super special and cozy for all of us to unwind together. Our family plans on returning; it was a weekend that we all enjoyed together and this place helped pull all of us together for a time to relax and play.
We loved Stephanie‘s place and had an amazing girls weekend. So serene and peaceful with the river running by, and amazing bedding to keep us warm at night. Will definitely stay again!
