My family and I were in Whistler last weekend for my wedding. Sabina was lovely to work with from the start and was always happy to answer any questions or concerns that came up. Once in Whistler everything continued to be great. The home is beautiful, comfortable, modern and very clean. All the beds are comfortable, even the bunk beds! It is a quick walk down to the Village via the ski slope. Up can be a bit slower, depends on your fitness level! Georgina came by the home to make sure we were doing well and she was a great help with road closure information (Ironman closures). I highly recommend this property. Not only is the home lovely, the owner is as well!
My husband and I recently got married in Whistler and this was the perfect home for our families to stay in. It's a beautiful home with gorgeous finishes. It was a pleasure to work with Sabina and Michael and I would highly recommend this home to anyone who would like to stay in a great home very close to Whistler.
Spacious, well outfitted and modern style. We had 2 families of 4 plus 2 grandparents and we fit in perfectly the 4 bedrooms - the kids room with double bunks was awesome. Loved the stay and would come again.
The house is exactly as it is described in the listing. It's warm, cozy, and perfectly located just up the hill from the village. The layout was conducive to group meals and lots of relaxing time spent together. The jacuzzi was used every day, a great amenity to any stay here. We couldn't recommend this house more and Sabina was a joy to work with in the booking process.
We stayed at this condo for Spring Break. We had two families, 9 of us including 5 kids ages 11-15. The condo had everything that you would need or want on a vacation. Sabina was great to work with from the beginning and gave us excellent recommendations on things to do other than skiing. This is a true ski in/ski out which made for an easy morning getting on the slopes. The Whistler Village is just a 5 minute walk down the hill so we did not even need a car. On the rare event that we needed to go farther than the Village (only once or twice besides to and from the airport) we used the Whistler taxi app that was quick and efficient. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation. I had an initial concern that 9 people in a 2000 sq ft home would be too close for comfort, however, the layout of the place allowed plenty of room for all. Sabina provided a nice basket with wine and goodies upon our arrival which was extremely nice. Overall, I cannot say enough positive things about our experience in Whistler and this condo. I would highly recommend it for anyone.
The property was perfect for us providing a fantastic common living space and allowing everyone their own area to retreat to. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and contained everything we needed on the occasions we chose to eat in. The location was excellent as a ski in ski out residence. For those of us who didn't ski it was a simple walk down the side of the slope, even pushing a pram. It was more difficult walking back but a taxi from the centre of town was only $6-$7 which was easier with shopping. It is really not walking distance on the road and not safe as the snow banks up right to the edge and too many blind corners. The property itself was clean and very well maintained. We very much appreciated the help of George who shovelled snow each day, checked the hot tub (which was well used) and gave us lots of advice and information. The views from the balcony were spectacular. Sabina was a great help leading up to the stay. The booking process was easy and she provided contacts for ski hire...(Ski Butlers service was amazing) and advice on restaurants. Her advice to book things well before the stay was exactly what you needed to do so researching activities and booking ahead is important. If we go back again we would certainly make restaurant bookings beforehand as it is virtually impossible to get into places once you have arrived and Sabina suggested this to us. Whistler was a beautiful village with a great choice of restaurants and coffee places along with all you need in the supermarkets (the big IGA in the Marketplace was great) and well prices liquor stores. The younger family members went ziplining, tobogganing and one was brave enough to ride the skeleton. They couldn't believe the length of the ski runs and conditions compared to Australia. We would certainly recommend where we stayed to family and friends. It was perfect no matter what your activity level. Our thanks to the owners Sabina and Michael and to George who was on the spot when we needed her. Hopefully we will get back again.
The booking with the owner Sabina was a delight. She was responsive and cheerful no matter how many inquires I made. The location was a truly ski in ski out residence. It was a simple ski or walk down the side of the slope. Unfortunately there is no 'free bus shuttle" to their location and the bus service has restricted hours, so it requires a taxi if you do any shopping. One can use the Gondola to mid station and walk down if you have a ticket, or are not carrying skiis if not up to do the walk up. Our grandkids were able to do the walk up. The accommodations are as advertised. There are plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc.and the great convenience of a washer/dryer. It is rare to find the 'basics' in a rental unit but was nice that there was already a supply of condiments, seasonings, tea etc. in the kitchen The master room is above the living room so if you have a noisy bunch this could be an issue. The property itself was clean and well maintained. Sitting in the private hot tub, with snow covered trees and the mountains in the distances, made it feel luxurious. The tub was maintained by a lovely lady George who helped us with a few other issues. It was nice to have someone always available to help us. We used "Nestors Grocery" to do a delivery of food before we arrived which allowed us to immediately settle in to the property and feel at home. Black Tie ski rentals were terrific. They deliver and pick-up any skiis or snowboards needed. Even will do a change at no extra charge if you want to try something different. I made a few suggestions to the owner of some things particular to us and she was open & positive in response. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. We would certainly recommend where we stayed to family and friends. It was perfect no matter what your activity level.
Every year our family and family friends embark on a ski trip to a different resort: Jackson Hole, Aspen, Deer Valley. You get the idea. This year, Whistler Backcomb was next on the list. And I will say, next year we are going to have a very tough time deciding whether we will be going somewhere new or revisiting the incredible mountain and home we were able to experience this winter in Cedar Ridge! I could go on and on about the mountain but the true gold lies in the incredible chalet that Sabina and Michael have created for their guests. It was magnificent. Not only was it steps from the slope (Village Run), but I could literally ski back to the front door. We were greeted by a boot warmer in the garage, a hot tub on the deck and heated floors throughout the entire home. But let me backtrack for a moment. Before we even stepped foot in the house, my family and I were met with the extreme generosity and service that you may expect from a Four Seasons. Sabina was always prompt and efficient during the booking process (no matter how many requests or questions we had). She was able to assist us with car rentals, lift tickets, equipment rentals, dinner reservations, snow mobile tours, zip lining and more. It was like we had our own travel agent! They truly have an excellent system and you can tell they are doing this because they love it. If you are going to be staying in Whistler Blackcomb I cannot stress enough, Sabina and Michael’s home is the place to be! It will make your experience there go from great to unforgettable. If you are looking for warmth, space, convenience, luxury and beautiful views - you are in the right place!
Great property
This is a truly wonderful place! Its convenience is hard to beat; it was perfect for our two families with small children. It is literally just off the slope, and a 30 second ski to the heart of the village. The place is very well equipped, with a top of the line kitchen. To top things off, Sabina was an amazing host, with many useful pointers, and even made sure that we did not miss the Fire and Ice show. Thank you for a wonderful week!
The townhouse is perfectly located right on the hill with easy access to two gondolas and a chair lift after a short ski down the mountain every morning. After the day skiing we were able to find our way back to ski directly to the house. It was more like a comfy cozy cabin once you got inside! Lovely log burning fireplace, comfortable seating for all, large dining room table for 6, pristine jacuzzi ( which was cleaned mid-week), and a kitchen with everything you would want with modern appliances. The home included an UPSTAIRS: master bedroom (King size bed, en-suite); MID FLOOR: kitchen, dining room, bathroom and family room and access to the deck jacuzzi on this floor; DOWNSTAIRS : 3 bedrooms ( one with bunk beds and two others with Queens), two bathrooms ( one which is en-suite); GARAGE: Where you have convenient outside access at the end of the day to unload ski, boots and poles. It is a very organized room with even a heated boot closet! Actually the entire house is very cleverly arranged to be very convenient in all aspects. The owners were friendly and very communicative ( we mostly dealt with Sabina). And she saw to our every need. There was an issue with a wonky shower nozzle that couldn't be repaired in one of the downstairs bathrooms while we were there but the upstairs shower came in handy to resolve that inconvenience. All and all everything was in excellent condition, a super responsive owner (Sabina) and I would definitely return and recommend it highly!
