About the Property
| Trickledown is situated on Big Creek close to Highlands, NC. There is a King bedroom and bath with a large shower upstairs next to a comfortable sitting room with a library and tv. Downstairs there is a queen bedroom and bath with a jacuzzi tub. The large gathering area has a botanical and biographical library and tv, fireplace and dining area. The kitchen has all amenities including a coffee/bar 'nook'. All across the back is a long screen porch and Big Creek sounds. There is a sitting area with a wicker sofa and rocking chairs on one side and a dining area on the other. Easy access to the kiln dried wood pile and the outdoor grille. The path to the creek features an iris garden. Other areas outside have 'special' garden areas like a moss garden, meditation garden, grandchildren's garden, succulent garden, 'gnome' path. |

We absolutely loved our time in this charming and beautiful cabin!!!!! The owner has thought of everything you might need during your stay here! The back porch with the sound of Big Creek rushing by was a favorite place to settle in and enjoy the beauty all around us. We plan to return!
Trickledown has become one of favorite getaways, and is the perfect place for emotional recharging...a blend of wonderful interiors, unsurpassed screen porch and lovely gardens create an incomparable ambience for relaxation.
Everything was absolutely perfect from day one to our departure date. The home’s amenities were more than I could have hoped for, everything was perfect. The environment created complete peace and relaxation, which was definitely needed.
We have rented homes and apartments in New Mexico, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Florida as well as the UK and France. Trickledown compares well with them all and exceeds most. Well designed, beautifully decorated and furnished with high quality amenities, this property made for a wonderful 72nd birthday celebration. The Christmas decorations were the coup de grace. Yes, we would stay here again . . . and again . . .
Can't say enough about this property. We've been back for our second year and found it all that we remembered it to be: cozy, beautifully furnished, exceedingly comfortable and situated, amazingly friendly and helpful host, a true home-away-from-home, the perfect setting for a special family time together. We never want to leave, and we will always be looking for the time when we can return. Every nook is a dream space. Could go on and on with the superlatives . . . can't imagine there's a better VRBO anywhere
We love Trinkle Down. The house is beautifully situated beside a roaring creek. The rooms in the house are elegantly decorated with the most interesting items. Our bedroom featured a display of North Carolina arrowheads. The kitchen is equipped with a selection of coffees and hot chocolate. Perfect. Jane the owner is very easy to communicate with and so helpful We visit again and again Thank you
Jane always provides a great Highlands experience...we are able to refresh and Re-create when we come here! This was our second visit and I hope we will be able to come again soon.
This is our 6th stay and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The place just feels like home to us. Jane is the best.
