CRAMPED IN A HOTEL? NO PLACE TO PARK OR PARK FOR FREE? Stay with a month agreement or longer in this classic, 1950 vintage ranch style house only four blocks from Stapleton, Denver's newest traditional neighborhood development. This ranch is a welcoming residence for business or pleasure in Denver. Set on an expansive corner lot--15,000 square feet--the house is a sunny and secure retreat for any traveler. Strayer Place--for those straying far from home. NO KITCHEN OF YOUR OWN IN THAT STR? Why not have a kitchen that really allows you to cook and put your dishes in a dishwasher? Need a microwave? Of course, right next to a full size refrigerator. Nearly everything you might need is ready-to-hand in a fully furnished kitchen. Dishes? How about place settings for ten. And it is Fiestaware in primary colors. CHILLY? TOO HOT? The house has whole-house air conditioning and a new 95% AFUE furnace. There is even a whole house fan ready to bring in fresh air. Why not live in the comfort that you control? WIFI? Free wifi with capacity to Standard N via Comcast. HOW ABOUT COMFORTABLE FURNITURE? AND LEATHER AT THAT! All living room and dining room furnishings are new as of July 2005 or 2018. The residence is done in a retro style decor. Club-car style leather couch and chairs are in the living room. A modern steel glass-topped table easily seats four in the dining room. Vintage art, maps, and mirror line the walls. Work or write at a new sloping front secretary or put up your feet on the ottomans and relax on the comfortable seating or watch cable. A HOME AWAY FROM HOME THAT WORKS! Accommodations: The kitchen is fully furnished with all appliances--microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, mixer, dishwasher and more. Newly re-done to coordinate with other furnishings, the kitchen has a new floor and refinished cabinets. The bath has a new porcelain tile floor and new lavatory. The master bedroom continues the retro look with a 50's dresser, brass night stand and has full length mirror sliding doors on a 12 foot closet. The bed is luxuriance itself--a new restful and comfortable pillow-top queen-sized Denver Mattress. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made up into a king. The second bedroom also has full-length mirrored closet doors. Guests have access to the laundry in the basement. A stackable washer and gas dryer are available along with a laundry tub and detergent. LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Location: .The house is close to I-70 and both Quebec Street and Monaco Blvd. Both are useful north-south thoroughfares in Denver. The residence is fronted by an expansive lawn with a circular drive that allows parking at the front door. Front and back entrances include security doors. The rear door offers access to a covered patio--really an outdoor room overlooking a large, pleasant backyard. The patio has a ceiling fan, dinette set with chaise lounge, side chairs and end table. WHAT ABOUT AMENITIES AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD? Close to Stapleton, you may walk to hotel row on Quebec--only four short blocks away. Hotels on Quebec include the Doubletree, a Holiday Inn, and a Renaissance among several others. Stapleton includes many local restaurants and an array of chain stores and eateries. As a traditional neighborhood development, Stapleton offers parks, playgrounds, tennis, and hiking and biking trails. The residence is convenient to Denver's RTD bus line with a stop to downtown across the boulevard in front and toward Denver International Airport and east one house away. A few blocks south you have Oneida Park with Spicy Thai, Ester's--a killer brew pub, and DANG! DANG? DANG is yet another offering of the Milkman Ice Cream folks in Denver, but DANG is all about soft serve ice cream. And fabulous fries. You just have to try it to figure it out. REALLY, WHERE AM I? At Home in the City: Make this classic home your Denver base for business or your getaway for leisure or even a retreat away from home. Because this house is located on an expansive property of 15,000 square feet, it becomes its own destination. You have little sense that you have neighbors because of the size of the property. In the summer, enjoy the herb garden next to the patio and the back yard or use the gas grill, read, relax, have a quiet time. As of 2011, the house has a new 95% efficient furnace and central air conditioning. As a result, windows can be closed to minimize the sounds of passing cars and any incidental noise. |

We stayed at this house for 10 days and it could not have been more perfect! The house is cute and very comfortable. The location is awesome. It was close to the National Western, where we were working. There is a very nice shopping center a few blocks away with Starbucks, King Soopers and great restaurants. Casey's Pub was great and we liked it so much we went there twice. Just a couple miles further and you have a bunch more restaurants, Macy's, Super Target and so much more! Don't feel like going out? The house has a great kitchen and it is very well equipped. I can't imagine there being anything you'd need that is not in that kitchen. Since we're were there for 10 days and we were working, having the washer and dryer was a huge plus! Norm is a great owner and he was always concerned that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. There is more than ample parking at the house too, which is unusual. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back when we are in Denver on business. We decided that we would come again for a long weekend, just to enjoy the city too! Thanks Norm! It was awesome!!
Norm's home was just as advertised and it turned out to be great for us to host our family. It is located near to many parts of the Denver metropolitan area and is very close to two of the light-rail stations which provided inexpensive and hassle free transportation to Union Station, the Rockies baseball stadium and the shopping district along the 16th street mall. All of the beds were very comfortable with fresh linens and the kitchen came with a very complete compliment of necessary items. The yard and especially the back porch were perfect for us to have morning coffee and to share meals with our family. Also the air conditioning worked extremely well and with the slight heat wave in Denver while we were there it was greatly appreciated. I would recommend Norm's home to any family!
This was a perfect place for us to enjoy Denver, Boulder, and Estes Park. The home was just right for our family-me, my husband and two teens. Comfortable beds, furnishings were just right, access to washer and dryer. Why stay in a hotel when this nice home is here? Norm met the family on day one and showed them around. Thanks, Norm, for letting us use your place
Awesome house - the a/c was cold, beds were comfy, and fast wifi. We had all the conveniences of home, and the owner was very attentive. We especially appreciated the private back porch and lovely yard, with table and chairs, it was a great place to relax in the evening. And the circle drive was a huge plus, as we were pulling a small cargo trailer. The house is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. I'm sure we'll be reserving it again on our next trip to Denver.
Best idea ever Norm was a great host
We enjoyed our stay here and Norm was very helpful with any questions we had. Easy access and wasn't far from where we needed to be. Clean and comfortable.
Was close to our show. Clean house worked well for us. Would stay again.
Norm was very good to work with. We like the house. It’s easy to get to main highways, close to restaurants and shopping. Overall excellent experience. Plan to be back again next year!!
