We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and provided with a range of very helpful information regarding local attractions and amenities. Would love to have stayed longer if time permitted.
Our lovely hosts, Rachel & Jean, couldn’t have been more welcoming and we enjoyed our stay at our cottage. Location was perfect for us as we were visiting friends in the Luberon so easy access as well as being close to Aix where we could walk (30 minutes) or drive down to enjoy the town. Very restful property with lovely gardens & pool.
We absolutely LOVED our stay with Rachel and Jean. They could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Nothing was too big an ask and they were on hand at all times! The accommodation is lovely and perfect for a small family. The addition of Badger the golden retriever was a VERY welcome one in the mornings :) we would whole heartedly recommend this listing and hope to be back soon :D thank you both so much for making our first holiday with C such a memorable one x x
Stayed for three nights in May 2023. We arrived late with a car sick baby and Rachel and Jean couldn't have been more welcoming, understanding and helpful. They immediately grabbed our cases and put on a wash for us (more than once!) The property is a short walk - 15 mins or so - into town and Aix itself is beautiful, plenty of bars, cafes and shops to keep you entertained. Rachel & Jean were attentive throughout and very helpful, and Badger (their lovely dog) helped look after our baby. Highly recommend!
We booked 3 nights at this location. Rachel was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the property did not meet what we consider to be acceptable standard for accommodations. The white towels were grey, thin, and hard. When we looked at the mattress in the single bedroom as one does nowadays, the mattress had several stains. We expected better. The living area is tiny. You need a car here since the house is only accessible via an unlit long road. There is no doubt that Rachel is gracious and helpful in the extreme, but to us the conditions of the bedding, towels, and shower area were uninviting and unpleasant. We checked in around 7 pm, and left by 10 pm having to scramble for last minute accommodation. Unfortunately they have refused to give any refund.
We had such an enjoyable and wonderful stay! The self contained house/apartment had everything we needed in it and Rachel and Jean went out of their way in their communication beforehand and during our stay to make us feel welcome at theirs. Thank you so much for having us and being so welcoming! Merci!
We had such an amazing time here! The rental was super clean and comfortable, and the property is gorgeous. The hosts were very accommodating and we definitely hope to be back!
The owners were welcoming, supportive and generous, a bottle of wine and rescue from our ill-fated search for food the first night. The yard and pool were great for lounging in the heat of the evening as the interior is not air conditioned. Windows and fans helped cool the unit down, but screens on the windows would have reduced the intrusion of bugs. Through constant use of gps we became able to navigate to downtown parking in Aix and to explore the region. The lavender was in full bloom on the Valensole plateau and the small towns in the region were well worth the visit.
This was a perfect place for a couple to stay. Private, but the owners, who are lovely, are available should you need anything. The grounds, with pool and tennis court (which we took full advantage of), are gorgeous. Convenient both to downtown Aix and to the highway. Would definitely stay there again.
Had a wonderful stay at Rachel and Jean’s. The property is so beautiful and tranquil and very close to the centre of Aix. The hosts were so kind. On the second day there Rachel brought us over fresh chocolate croissants and a baguette. It was so nice to get to know them and their son Julienne. Would definitely love to come back!
