The house had everything we wanted, and in the middle between Pisgah and Dupont. The property manager is excellent to work with. We had a great time.
This cabin was excellent for our large family! We spent our Thanksgiving break here and could not have been happier. The house was very clean and fully stocked with more than enough linens, towels and supplies. The balcony over looks the mountains, along with the hot tub on the balcony as well. Such an amazing view. It was lovely having the outdoor tables to enjoy meals whilst taking in the gorgeous views. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment which was perfect for cooking. There was so much space for our family to spread out during the day. It never felt like we were cramped. (3 living rooms, 3 porches, a large yard and driveway). We took a day trip about 30 minutes away to some local waterfalls, so nice to have them nearby. The owner and management were more than friendly and helpful. Definitely will be staying here again.
We had a fantastic time at the Bears’ Den! We were in town with extended family (6 adults, 2 teens, and 2 kids) to celebrate the New Year. The layout was perfect (multiple family rooms and a bedroom/bath on every level) and the whole house is well maintained and has everything you need for cooking, relaxing, and entertaining. The fully stocked kitchen and family room(s) are open and well laid out. The bedrooms are arranged so that even though there was a large crowd, we could each have privacy we needed. We enjoyed the deck with its hot tub and nice view (the weather was unseasonable warm so we spent a lot of time out here). As the weather turned seasonal, we enjoyed playing games, watching bowl games, and putting together a puzzle in the sunny, dining/living room heated by the wood burning stove. We appreciated the quick response from Trish- especially the house tutorial upon arrival. I would highly recommend this home for your family vacation, and we look forward to returning.
Loved, Loved ,Loved the cabin. 6 adults and 6 kids and plenty of room to spare. Beds were awesome, bathrooms large, had every amenity we needed. Views were spectacular and the location was really nice and quite. 20-30 minutes to most the hiking and waterfalls we wanted to see. It was just an all around wonderful cabin and beautiful place to vacation. Would absolutely stay here again. The property manager was truly a jewel to work with, awesome person....we accidently left our i-pad and she called me within 2 hours of our departure and mailed it the next day to us....she was extremely easy to work with and friendly. A definite 5 star experience for our family. The hot tubeand wii were awesome for the kids as well.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway to the "Bear's Den." The house was comfortable and accommodating for all 10 of our guests. The property was private, but accessible and view was unbeatable. We were a quick drive to the store, hiking trails, and downtown Brevard. The kitchen was well-stocked and the owner/Trish were so accommodating and helpful. I'd highly recommend and plan on returning ourselves!
We had a group of 4 adults and 6 kids for a mountain biking spring break. The cabin was perfect! We enjoyed shopping and eating in Brevard, hiking in Gorges State Park, and biking in DuPont State Forest. We hope to be back!
A great place for our brief family get-together. Nice outdoor decks and porches, very well equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms.
Beautiful house and convenient location! We wanted to get away from it all but be close to some amazing waterfalls. The house has gorgeous views and is lovely inside. Trish was extremely helpful. Definitely check out Rainbow Falls, Dry Falls, and Silver Run Falls (especially if you’re looking for a swimming hole).
We picked this house on a whim due to being evacuated for Hurricane Florence. We had my inlaws coming too so we needed a pet friendly place. This place was perfect! 3 levels of living, 5 bedrooms. We were so happy! Trish was WONDERFUL!
Wonderful weekend. Cabin accommodated large group with room to spare.
My large family (myself and two siblings, all with sig others, and parents) really enjoyed our stay! We were there for 8 days. Trish was always responsive when we had questions or needed assistance. The kitchen is stocked with nearly everything we thought we had to bring... things like rice cookers, dehydrators, blenders, etc. - we didn't even need to unpack half of the kitchen items we brought with us! The garbage disposal was out of order, which normally wouldn't have been a problem but we started getting water backing up into the sink and dishwasher. Trish had someone come out within an hour of alerting her and they completely replaced the disposal. Because of the all wood interior, you can definitely hear people above/below you. So if you're a guest that prefers to sleep in but are among early risers, you might be out of luck. Sound definitely travels in this house. But it wasn't a problem for us at all. Make the best of it by getting up to see the sunrise - it's stunning from the back deck. It's a perfect view!
