We came for a winter wedding and this house worked great for our group. The rooms were bright and the house had lots of interesting amenities. It’s right on the Sound and the view was spectacular! We loved the hot tub and played lots of air hockey & pool. I highly recommend this home for adults or mixed families.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property was clean and spacious. The weather wasn't great but there were plenty of activities from crabbing to indoor games and equipment. We enjoyed sipping our morning coffee sitting in a warm room and watching the water. A highlight was watching the Osprey nest and the mother feeding the baby chicks. The Pirate's Cove restaurant had great food and within walking distance. We would definitely return in the future. Debbie was a wonderful host and the house was perfect for our family ranging in age from 26 to 60!
We looked at hundreds of houses for Mother's Day weekend. We came with 4 generations of Mother's and this house was perfect for everyone. The elevator came in handy and the view couldn't be beat. The house was very clean and the owner, Debbie, left us a nice basket of treats for all the Mothers. I personally loved the living room furniture. I was asleep in those recliners in no time. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and crabbing off the dock. The only downside was that it went too fast. We are looking forward to coming back for a week in the summer.
We really loved staying in this house, great for inter generational family events with plenty of space for everyone. We loved sitting on the terrace watching the boats sail by and listening to the waves. Sunsets can be watched fromthe front balcony. Roanoke Island is a great place to stay with plenty of things to do and we enjoyed learning about The Lost Colony as we come from Devon in England where the boat set sail. The Outer Banks were easily reachable for those who wanted real ocean swimming though the sound was good enough for the 'oldies'. On one or two cooler days the hot tub was very popular. We had a really enjoyable week.
Rented for extended family vacation. Beautiful home and community. Conveniently located near beaches in Nags Head - Approx 10 minutes. Easy access to community pool. Family members enjoyed fitness center access. House had plenty of sleeping space / beds for our group. Inside in clean and well maintained. Outside was beautiful being right on the water, but still enough back yard to play some games. Owner of home was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely go back again to this location in the future.
Our group of 14 took time off at the Outer Banks after our son's wedding. The house was plenty big for all of us. We had enough rooms to stay and did not feel crowded. There were also plenty to do around the area. The boat dock and crab pot was great. Some of us did exercise on the dock early morning to enjoy the sunrise. We caught plenty of crabs to enjoy during our stay. The pool table was also well used. Owner is easy to work with and responsive. The only minor issue was that they had unreliable internet service. Probably a common issue in the area, The top floor also tends to get quite warm during the day. Otherwise we had a great time and really enjoyed the facility.
Our family of 11 had a fantastic week in Manteo. We had plenty of room and the location was perfect. Everyone loved the views of the sound mornings and evenings and the dock was a magnet for the fishermen and women. There is a nest of ospreys close to the dock and we’re exciteted to see the babies take their first flight! The house is close to the adorable town of Manteo and we loved the restaurant right in Pirates Cove. The Blue Water Grill was our favorite and it was nice to have it so close. The family has decided they want to do another trip together in 2 years and we may very well go back to the Outer Banks and stay at Debbie’s home.
The view was spectacular and the best part of the house. We were able to see the sunrise from the back of the house and the sunset from the front. We rented the house to host family and friends for our daughter’s wedding at Vista Creek in Manteo. The house was big enough to provide privacy for different “groups” that normally would not be together under one roof. Because of the time of year and purpose of the visit, our time together in the house was minimal but the living room, kitchen and pool table were great places to rally and get to know each other. The house was spotless which was important to us. There was also plenty of parking. All of our guests enjoyed their visit to Pirate’s Cove.
My family really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house! It was the perfect house for our family Thanksgiving. Debbie was great to work with. She was readily available and when we had any issues they were resolved promptly! Thank you for a great stay.
