About the Property
From the moment you arrive at our lovely condo, �Galveston Tropical Sundancer at Maravilla�, you will be impressed by its charm. The beautiful floors, granite counter-tops and tropical furnishings all say, �Come in, relax and enjoy your vacation.'
The cool colors and a touch of whimsy, make this unit a relaxed atmosphere for you and your family to rent year after year. This is a true ocean front condo (one of only twelve at Maravilla) so you can relax on the 24 foot balcony and enjoy a breathtaking view with the ocean stretching out to the horizon. We provide binoculars for a close-up view of the dolphins jumping or the fishing trawlers.
Watch the sunrise over the ocean every morning, either from the comfort of your king-size master bedroom, from the living room, or the big balcony with comfortable patio furniture (a round table with four chairs for dining, a cushioned bench and even a coffee table) for your beverages of snacks as you relax and watch the waves.
The living/dining/eating area is open so it is easy to visit with family and friends. You�ll enjoy preparing meals, or reheating leftovers from our awesome Galveston restaurants, as you watch the ever changing waves of the Gulf. Or, if you wish, watch the large (50 inches) flat screen TV/DVD compete with cable and a collection of some of my favorite DVDs, currently over 30 from which to choose. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glasses, including wine glasses and champagne flutes, a microwave, toaster, blender and even a crock pot as well as a variety of spices and condiments for your use.
The master suite awaits you with a king-size bed and a mirrored wall of closets. There is a second flat screen TV with cable so you can watch movies or keep up with the news. Your master suite also features an over sized tiled shower.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. We also have a flatscreen in this bedroom. There is a comfy queen sleeper sofa in the living room and a bunk area with two bunk beds.
Maravilla Resort Condominiums include 3 large resort-style pools (one with a swim around island and swim up bar area) surrounded by lush vegetation. In addition to the swimming pools there is a large secluded hot tub and a bubbling waterfall that cascades down to one of the pools which has a sloped entrance so convenient for the young ones. The East pool is heated in the cooler months and has shade in the summer.
In case you want to 'work' or 'surf the web' on your vacation, there is a broadband, high-speed internet connection in our condo, the office and the exercise/weight room with floor to ceiling windows where you can watch the gentle waves of the Gulf as you exercise.
Your vacation paradise is close enough to downtown so you can experience all that Galveston has to offer - elegant restaurants, the historic district, shopping and the cruise ship docks, yet far enough away that you are not in 'tourist heaven'. You are within walking distance to the beach, a fishing pier, miniature golf, a bungee jump, a Starbucks, and some shopping.
Since you are on the near west end of the island, you are also close to Schlitterbahn Water Park, the award-winning Moody Gardens Golf Course, Scholes Airport, the Lone Star Flight museum, Moody Gardens, Galveston Fishing Pier and wonderful places to bird watch.

Condo was clean and easy to find. Owner accommodating. You do have to walk down a ways to find a beach but it is nice to see the ocean from your room. My husband ended up with the flu our entire trip, but said it wasn't so bad to be sick when you can lay and look at the ocean.
We enjoyed our stay, even though it was cold and rainy while we were there. (This made the covered parking even more of a plus.) We were very comfortable at the condo and it had everything we needed. This was a good location for us because it was convenient to many activities, like the state park and Moody Aquarium. The beach view from the patio was stunning. A big plus!

This condo was amazing! The location is fantastic - towards the west end of the Seawall and the Gulf is practically right outside the condo. The balcony is spacious and with amazing views of the sunrise on the Gulf. The condo has 2 very nice-sized rooms and 2 full baths. The king room has a slider that opens up to the balcony with that incredible view. The queen bed is quite comfy and the bathroom is just a few steps across the hall. All of the bath and kitchen fixtures and countertops look brand new and are granite. There is tile throughout the condo, too - no carpet! There are TVs in the living room and both bedrooms, but we spent a lot of time just watching the Gulf. :-) Marilyn (owner) is AWESOME to work with - I cannot say enough nice words about her, I truly can't. There was a small issue with the 2nd bath - the tub spigot would not stay up to convert the water to the showerhead. They came in and fixed it while we were shopping on The Strand! Also brought us a brand new coffee maker. Absolutely WONDERFUL customer service. We will definitely rent from Marilyn again. The condo was spotless, too. I don't think the pictures do it justice. The condo is on the 2nd floor and there is an elevator but also four steps to get to the condo once you've taken the elevator. My Mom was with me and has 2 artificial hips, but the 4 stairs were no issue - I just mention this in case you absolutely cannot manage stairs. Parking is under the condo complex and was plentiful. There is a $20 parking permit charge, but that is for your ENTIRE stay - not a per day charge. The pools were sparkling clean as were the grounds around the complex. Just a wonderful location and an absolutely beautiful and comfy condo. Thank you, Marilyn!!!! :-D
Family of 4 adults, 2 children stayed for holiday weekend. Perfect size condo and directly across ocean. Marilyn was great to work with. Nice pool area. Recommend.

Only problem was elevator was out of service, daughter was on crutches so it was troublesome
We loved the condo and everything in it. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Easy check in, easy check out. View was beautiful, enjoyed the sunrise. Close to entertainment. A few complaints were the closest elevators were not working, the big pool was being repaired, the pet area had some stickers which were a problem and lots of mosquitoes. Learned to always where spray. The management in the office seemed short fused and rude to not only me but others as well. Also, was unaware of the charge for parking. Was told after the booking was paid for. In general the property was run down, it is after a major storm though. It’s nice being able to take pets, but there was a lot of pee and poop on the stairs and hallways. The owner is top notch, but the property is not.
We had a great stay in the Tropical Sundancer!! The condo was clean, comfy, and was in a GREAT location. The condo was nicely furnished and had all of the dishes we could need. The best were very comfortable. The property itself is very nice. The multiple pools and scenery were beautiful. Marilyn made the reservation process extremely easy and went above and beyond to make our trip the best it could be. This property as well as the owner exceeded my expectations!!
The condo was close to all eateries and attractions. Fantastic view from the living room and balcony. Swimming pool area was well maintained, clean and could easily handle a whole bunch of people.
