We enjoyed our stay, celebrating our parents' 60th wedding anniversary! Thank you for the yummy breakfast cookies and your helpfulness with everything! The house had plenty of room for us...more than I imagined from the pictures! The house was as pictured and a great location. Thank you, Ingrid, for checking in to make sure we were taken care of. I would recommend this property!
This was a great place to stay while attending a family reunion nearby. Lots of space for smaller groups to gather. Especially appreciated the board games and toys to occupy the children. And cannot forget the gracious hostess and warm cinnamon rolls. Don't miss the Aquarium while you're in the area.
We had a wonderful experience at the Jones house. The house was easy to find and close to all the points of attraction that we wanted to visit. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The house has amazing backyard decks and we enjoyed the fire pit. We did some cooking, and although there were lots of pots/pans and utensils, there were not any cooking staples that we could find. So, if you are planning on cooking, be sure to bring spices, cooking oil, coffee etc.... I would recommend the home to anyone. It is spacious, clean and was an amazing getaway for our family.
The vacation property was wonderful. Mrs. Ingrid was so sweet. Whatever we needed she was there assist . The pictures of the property didn't due the property justice. The house was amazing and It was so peaceful and the location was great. The name of our is group called Women's on a Journey. We all enjoyed the visit to Chattanooga, Tennessee. The cinnamon rolls and cookie tasted delicious! We truly enjoyed Mrs. Ingrid . This is a wonderful vacation home. You must come to visit this property. I wish you and your family nothing but miracle and blessings.
This was our first time to Chattanooga TN, and Harbor View was an excellent place for our family to stay! We arrived about an hour early, and Ms. Ingrid, allowed us to checkin , that was so sweet of her ! The house was beautiful, very cleaned and we had a nice surprise rolls and cookies ( very delicious) ! Ms. Ingrid and her family were very helpful and sweet, we loved our stay, and will be returning again !! I would recommend this house to any of my friends we had a positive and fun experience in Chattanooga ! Thanks so much Ms. Ingrid, God has blessed you with the gift of hospitality and you and your family do it so well !!! God Bless, Ms. Susan Karr
I would have rated more if the rest rooms have proper locks. And we have been informed the toilet tissue will cloak the drainage. Otherwise a nice place to stay spacious, fully equipped with necessary furniture, den at 3 levels, big living room, kitchen and dinning rooms.
Our family had such a wonderful time in Chattanooga. Days were spent at special local sites. Children's Discovery Museum, Coolige Park, Rock City, Rock climbing gym, golf, motorcycle museum, aquarium and eating in a wide variety of restaurants.Best of all was being a part of our sons wedding. How wonderful it was to know at the beginning and end of these busy days that we had Ingrids Harbor View to relax at and enjoy the comforts of her home. Our 17 month old granddaughter loved all the open space and the quiet bedroom for naps. The location of the home was perfect for getting around the area. I can't say enough about the hospitality we received. Wonderful treats from a kind heart!
Typically when we visit our two adult children in Chattanooga we stay in one of their homes. This trip was different because three of my sibs (and their spouses) were also coming for a visit. We needed a special 'good-family-time house' - and this one was just perfect! All four bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished and provided each of us with the privacy we needed. The living area, however, is what really impressed. Both the den and the living room are large and welcoming (the spinet in the corner is tuned). While we enjoyed those spaces we tended to congregate most on the main level deck off the kitchen, the kitchen itself, and the dining areas. The kitchen is much larger than the photos indicated and is user-friendly. We have rented some pretty spectacular vacation homes ranging from Alaska to Nova Scotia to The Bahamas. All of them had workable 'gourmet' kitchens, but none of them allowed for multiple cooks working at different counters (while a non-cook is fishing a beer out of the fridge and another is popping a wine cork). This one did. The deck off the kitchen is also much larger than photos indicate. It is a delightful space overlooking a large yard, glimpses of the lake and the grilling deck - "How are those steaks doing, Mark!?!" The dining room and the dining table in the living room are actually adjacent to each other. Ingrid has more than enough chargers, napkins/rings to set both tables. We were 14 at table(s) with room to spare. A good time was had by all. I want to go back.... Oh! did I mention the tasty oatmeal treats and cinnamon rolls!?! Thank you, Ingrid.
There were nine of us that stayed in the house. The house is very spacious comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for our four day stay. It felt like our own home. The owners are very nice. Only saw them for a few minutes when we arrived and the night before our departure. In both cases they left leaving us with great tasting cinnamon rolls. The house is in a great location for visiting the sites of Chattanooga. The outdoor fire pit was just an added bonus for us and we made use of it. Everyone in our group felt right at home and looked forward to the end of our day to unwind and relax. I definitely recommend this place to stay.
The house had plenty of room, a nice kitchen with everything we needed, good bedroom/bath access, plenty of family area with comfortable furniture, a dining room that was easily big enough for all 11 of us, a large deck with a view of the lake, and very nice owners. Everything was in good working order and the beds were comfortable. The owner had told me they live in an apartment on the property that was separate from the house that had been converted from a garage. I had pictured something completely separate from the house, but it was an apartment where the garage had been in the house. It was a little surprising to realize the owners were just on the other side of the wall when we were in the family room or foyer, and I have to admit, I was initially a little concerned. Mostly, because we had 5 children with us, ages 8, 7, 6, 4, and 18 months. Also, we are musicians and had music going or were even playing instruments quiet a bit in the evenings. A bonus for us, there was a piano! Four of the children had one of the bedrooms directly over the apartment; my husband and I had the other that was directly over the apartment. Our adult children had the other two bedrooms. But, there were no issues and all of us felt very comfortable after the first evening. I would definitely recommend this property for other families. We are from Chattanooga and visit family there often. This was fun, because we could all stay together and wanted to do "touristy" things for a change. It was a great trip!
